Whew! The last two nights have been super busy with canning up the wild blueberries that we picked in Pennsylvania. It seems like the blueberries are taking over the kitchen. Granted there are various purple stains on the floor and counters now. Anyway, I managed to get 31-8 ounce jars & 5-12 ounce jars done by midnight last night. Also, the wild blueberries, this year basically increased the recipe output by 50% for this one. I almost ran out of jelly jars! Yipe! Now...for the rest...

Sadly, we had to put our Willie cat down this morning. This has got to be one of the worst parts of having a long-time friend of 17 years, is the decision to put him down. Unfortunately, the diabetes got worse and wasn't going to get any better. There weren't any 'good days' any more.
For those of you that knew him, we wanted to let you know about his passing over.

Life comes at you fast sometimes! Where did all this anger in our society come from? Does omne honestly have to dodge everything, every day just on the way to work or to the store? Do you have to project this anger onto me, just because you are having a bad day? Take a look at your life. What made you to be in this mood to dump on someone that you don't even know.
Stop the world, I wanna get off...applies more then ever now. I listened to a college guy talking, while waiting for th...

Wow! this has definitely been a heck of a ride.
Shawn went back into the E.R. on Tuesday and was released the same day. With a CT scan, the pulmonary embolisms (blood clots) are starting to respond to the blood thinner medications. Unfortunately, it's going to be a long, slow, painful process for him healing. He is back home. His spirits are up, and he's starting to putter around the house. He is allowed to do mild activity as long as there isn't any pain. Maybe by the end of the we...

Not much news. Severe painful reactions to the medications. Hopefully a CT scan will help. Still hoping for the best. Shawns spirits are not as high as they were earlier this week. I hate to ask for anything more, but simple well wishes and thoughts can only be of a help.

bwahhhhh ha ha hey lady. Soooo nice to hear from you. Oh how I miss our fun times and your great loving creative energy. I wish you and yours nothing but blue skies. As for a trip out to the right. Its in the works but LA is July and I have a big camping trip before the bigger one in early Sept. Maybe in Nov. around Thanksgiving, what a thing that would be to be thankful for. MMMMWah kisses momma~!~!~!~!~!~

We were hanging around the fire one evening, and it's sorta hard to tell with these memories, it was so long ago, but Jen got this idea that maybe if she latticed these pieces of grass together she could make better sleeping mats for us. That worked pretty well, so she collected a bunch of mammoth hair, and twisted it into long strings, and then latticed that together. She worked on it for a while, and eventually made this square thing of latticed threads. We decided to call it cloth, and even though it was a lot of hard work, Jen was very proud of her invention. She looked pretty good in it too, since everyone else was wearing mammoth hide.

This woman is pure sweetness and honor. She stood by my boy Shawn during some hard times and is still there. Jen will set up and break down gear with the most stalwart road techs till all hours with nothing but a complaint-free good attitude and motivated spirit. Our crew would not be the same without her.
