Bellydance with Sherri Wheatley:
Isolations, posture, extension and building choreography;
learn the fundamentals of faster paced tribal fusion
bellydance. Students will learn how to create combinations
and link them into short choreographed pieces.

Yoga for Dancers with Ashley Quaine:
Learn how to connect with your breath and find your
center.In this workshop you will learn how to strengthen
the body at its center for more controlled isolations,
increased endurance and graceful refined movement.Please
bring a yoga mat if you have one.

Livin for tha Citaaaaay!

Wowie. Just got back in So Cal from a little stint on the east coast. So many differences.

Life lately has been busier than usual, and that is saying alot. Right before I left for NY i had reached my the last strand in the thread that holds me together. I simply take on too much. I want it all, and I want it to be good. And then.......I get tired. My patience and ability to handle my own life starts to diminish and then I start to resent myself for not keeping up........it's a big fat cycle of mine, and many that i know. How do we have it all and ourselves as well?

I can say no.

Of course, yeah yeah but whhhyyyyy? There is too much awesome in this life to say no! I am so proud of my recent projects and every frazzled moment is damn well worth it :) Here is an idea of what I been helping bring to life :)

It was my honor to work with both of these projects, and both were a smashing success!

~Cirque Berzerk has catapulted themselves to the top level of entertainment and a impressive level of production! Expect to see much more from these crazy clowns....

~We humbly thank EVERYONE who contributed and attended the Firehouse Temple Fundraiser. Our community put forth lots of love and the event was able to give the temple 7000 DOLLARS!! This paid for the transportation to BRC, so I guess you can say Los Angeles got the temple to BM!!!!

~And of course, most recently I was able to return to my immediate family The Do LaB and give ol NYC a proper smack on the ass Do style! We brought our art and our communitites music to the festival All Points West. It was so gratifying to be back in the saddle and working up a sweat! Up next is Electric Picnic in Ireland, and then oh yes......a vacation for me and my pants in Prague.

So excited........

some abundance to this year's temple installation at Burning Man,
BASURA SAGRADA.

One of LA's own artists, Shrine (formerly shown by Mike Russek's
memorable Transport Gallery) will build the temple art installation
at Burning Man, with the help of his talented and dedicated Basura
Sagrada crew.

This is a substantial undertaking, and unfortunately most of the funds
needed to build the temple must be raised by the artist and their
supporters, so let's show up and really show them how LA rolls. Let's
celebrate the most sacred part of the Playa.

Yikes! I am once again in crazy, busy work mode! I have the distinct honor of being a part of some amazing productions :)

Cirque Berzerk is presenting their first full length theatre\tent show "Beneath"!! It is so exciting to see this production come to shape. Me, knowing a little something about staring in the face of project that's your entire soul and being (cough*lib2009*cough), can only sit back a smile at this epic show. What am I saying??? Sit back?? IM RUNNING VOLUNTEERS!!! aw yeah that's right my loves! You know you wanna........ Check out the story for the show beneath (pun intended!)

THE SHOW~

Step right up ladies & gentlemen the show is about to begin! Cirque Berzerk proudly delivers it’s first full run circus show to our home town of downtown Los Angeles and we are honored to have you in our big top home with us this summer.


"Beneath" is a loose new twist on the ageless story of Orpheus, featuring breathtaking fire stunts, aerial acrobatics, stunning contortionists, extra tall ladies, live vocals, and more set to an original score from the cast of Cirque Berzerk.
Come see what awaits our damsel in the underworld. Hang on to your seats ladies and gentleman our dancing girls and flying stunts are sure to have you clinging the edge of your seat!
The show, complete with the troupe’s own big top circus tent, runs for four nights from July 24th through Sunday, July 27th with nightly performances beginning at 8:30 p.m. Come early to enjoy picnicking “Hollywood Bowl” style before the show starting at 6:00 p.m. Tickets available HERE.

Of my freaking blog!!!!

Wowza it's been quite awhile since me n cyberland and you lovely folks had a heart to heart. Lots of shite has gone up, down, and all around........Let's see hmmmmm it's time for a list!!

~The Do LaB turned coachella over on it's ass and spanked that betch! That was rad. We brought more sculptures, more beauties, and more PARTY!

~LIB was yet again an adventure of love, a test of strength and patience, and a gathering for all of YOU. Our muses, our loves, our impressive community of artisans and all around freak folk. THANK YOU for your continued support of this project and all it's facets. Oh man, when the rain started falling on Thursday I was prepared for the worst, and of course you only brought the best. Take that mother nature!!

In my time "off" ( and i am using that term as sarcasm) since LIB, I have finally gotten the chance to focus some major energy on dance again. Man, oh man it feels really good. I have this habit of forgetting to dance, or choosing not to dance. I know, I know its awful! One would think that given the stresses of event production, moving my body and pounding my feet on the floor would be a first choice, an uncontrollabe action..........perhaps it is, but i keep myself from that release. It's almost that I know it will be that good!

Well, that is something that has been recognized and put on the list to work the fuck out. No more am I holding myself and my dance back because I "don't have time", or "am too tired". Project summer is to put my movement, my dance, my life blood on the first responder list to stress, sadness, happiness, what have you!!

This crazy life. I am so grateful, so humbled and so excited for what's to come for the second half of this year!!! The Do LaB will be bringin it to Europe, my love and I will be taking a big step forward with our relationship, there is just project after project after project, and I am going to dance my ass into the ground! :)
