I'm a little "touched" in the head but know it. I have issues with modern social norms. I am not "a setting on a dryer." I have friends who I care about deeply, but I know I'm limited to how many people I can care about at once. I have delusions of grandeur and moments of utter self-loathing. I live for the rush of making a connection with the dancefloor when I DJ.
Oh, I also run Sanctuary @ The Krave Lounge here in Las Vegas. Friday nights, 11PM until 2:30AM, we get to dance to industrial, EBM, Dark Wave, and Power Noise on the Las Vegas strip. Yes, an alternative subculture that has a presence on the Strip. As my friend Barnaby put it "selling out the mainstream to the underground." It's fun. Oh, and it's cheap too. No cover, $3 wells and draft beer.

As it stands, since March of last year, I've been hosting a DJ Bootcamp at my house every other week on Wednesdays. It started as something over at B's house on Sundays (back when he had Sundays off), where we'd get together, hang out, and spin a little on his decks, practicing different kinds of mixing techniques, working with different equipment... read more

The call that always makes me feel like shit and a failure. The management of the club where we host Sanctuary has decided that our bar sales and turnout are too low for them to continue hosting us. Combined with the new afterhours thing that forces us to shut down at 2:30AM, we are being asked to vacate the night. So, that's it. Thank you Las Vegas, it's been fun. We'll have more fun again later on the Strip. But for now, we're done.
