My name is Darren. I am the publisher of Handbook and a Bay Area native. Grew up in San Jose then moved to Seattle for a couple of years. Moved back to SF and can't image living anywhere else. I have a passion for design and appreciate the efforts of struggling artists everywhere. My partner and I have two children, both have four legs and are very hairy. Never turn your back on side show freaks as they can give you the most unconditional love ever!! Have never been a mass market consumer driven or influenced by a fashion brand.The only items of clothing I buy fresh out of the pack are underwear, shoes and socks. Everything else is second hand and thrift bought. It's a nice feeling wearing another mans clothing from years past. I can be introverted at times and I am a big observer. I would rather sit with a good friend at a party and people watch then light up a room and talk your head off. On the other hand, if you know me well, I can be a completely animated freak show. ...and there you have it.
