A Glimpse of the Long Path: Your GWP

   Fri, August 11, 2006 - 10:43 AM
If it's anything like my GWPs (great works in progress), then it may take longer than you've kind of envisioned--like an onion: layers of depth--for you to be ready to present your creation. Maybe not! But if so, as long as the path leading up to it is acceptable for you and even enjoyable, then guess what! How we spend our hours is how we spend our days is how we spend our lives... there are thousands of ways to kneel and kiss the ground; nay, millions of ways... what with cosmic expansion and all... indeed, billions and billions of ways to kneel and blah blah blah. Ta-dum! Welcome to your life. I guess we have to consider two aspects of our direction, those of us who have chosen a passion for artistic expression as our main guide in life: career and personal work. Yes, they do cross over, inshallah--but on the one hand if you want to have this work support you now, then you must prepare it in a time-efficient manner. On the other hand, if this is going to be one of your major life works, then it may take longer to give it its full voice, and you may need to start or continue other projects to pay the bills. As for the grand visions, feed them with faith and action and lucid dreams and patience and fire. Offer joyfully to them all the work that seems to have no other purpose: the dances that are not seen; the long treks and difficult days; the song heard only by sea and sky...

Thanks!
This was both lovely and timely. As I am being swamped by things determined to get between me and my great works. ;) Thanks for reminding us that the journey is just as important as the destination.

Great Words in Progress
Just what the doctor ordered! Confirming intention is a tool in manifestation and your words are a great reminder of the magical process of GWP!!!
