Dattner: A veritable verbal salvation to the restless mind, one cosmopolitan female undaunted by the clamjamphrie, forging onward through a sea of mediocrity toward an eventual delivery. In word, in design, and in deed, charming, urbane, adroit, and uncontainable.
Or in the vernacular, "home-girl got it goin' on!"

I remember a funny joke she once said. That was a long time ago -- be mindful. There are probably a lot of funny things she said since then which I haven't had the chance to forget.

Dattner is a multi-talented genius. Other comedians look like they're feeding their crack habit egos. With Dattner, it's pure love of the art and the audience. She is a joy. She is a force for good. She is oh so wonderful and cleaver. She's never satisfied. She continues to search the universe, to harness magic, and to share with the world.

I like dattner and dattner likes me. Notably interested in peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, NEW ways of being funny, joining in, being present in the moment, and kicky hair. Based on these and other essential traits I suggest a USDA rating of 100% Dattner essence, taken daily.

about me
"Alicia's Stand Up has an amazing and rare combination of qualities- her work is at once subtle and intense, sophisticated and earthy, philosophical and relateable. She's deep AND funny. Her writing is intelligent and her performances are even more so. She manages to tow the line between delicate and hard core. She is gracefully rough edged. She's like Ellen Degeneres meets Lenny Bruce (before he went crazy). Only different. And better."
-Katie Rubin, solo performer
San Francisco comedian Alicia Dattner's humor is edgy and confessional, but first and foremost, funny. She'll charm the pants off you, and then make fun of you for not wearing pants. Irreverent standup is her specialty--her over-the-top characters and stories, littered with punchlines, intersect themes of love, politics, and culture.
With recent appearances in the Wall Street Journal and J Magazine, she is definitely a rising star of standup.
She's shared the stage with many funny, talented comics including Kevin Kataoka, Eugene Mirman, Arj Barker, and Rob Cantrell. She regularly performs at Cobb's Comedy Club and the Punchline in San Francisco and has also performed at the Knitting Factory in Los Angeles, Ha Comedy Club in New York, and the Comedy Underground in Seattle.
