Well.....first the earth cooled, then came the dinosaurs, then a city of glitz sprang up out of the desert, the City of Angels. I wish I could say I was born in LA (do I?) but my mom took me "back home" to Bakersfield to give birth. I grew up in this city, well, in the Valley actually, and I can't say I'm unhappy about it. I could have grown up in a redneck town.....in which case I might be drinking semi-cold cans of Bud and shooting cows in the ass with my pellet gun.

So I grew up in the porn capital of the world, and as far as I know none of the girls I went to school with are porn stars. After high school I joined the Marine Corps for four years, and spent my time stationed with a helicopter squadron in Hawaii.....traveling to Australia a few times, Okinawa, Guam, and I even spent four months on a Navy ship as part of a massive battle group. Believe me, you haven't seen darkness until you've been out in the middle of the ocean on a night with no moon. Once, a nearby cyclone sent out two rogue waves that smashed into us and almost caused us to capsize.....not a fun experience. You think those huge metal behemoths are invulnerable, but on the open sea they're just bathtub toys floating between mammoth waves.....indescribable.

That was years ago, and now I've found myself a part of the intense Black Rock scene. I'm fortunate enough to have met a wild group of exotic and creative people called Clan Destino, and they've become a family to me. This led me to Tribe, here you are reading this, and I guess that brings us full circle.
