Also, the cops showed up and we all played telephone.
Just wanted to let all of my tribe friends know that I am thinking of you! Work is crazy (tax season), but I look forward to seeing many of you at Tribalcon, or Elevation 2009!

The workshop will be suitable for levels beginner through advanced-intermediate, but beginners should have some experience and should expect to be challenged. For more info about the location or to arrange for borrowing a drum, pm me.
Come on out and party!

Dave is cool! Super friendly and passionate about M.E. music. And I love anybody who likes to chat endlessly about M.E. music.

play egyptian tabla (a.k.a. doumbek or darbuka). I am now seeking bandmates for a bellydance band! We are always looking for cool events to travel to. I'm also on the lookout for anyone who wants to add a little arabian flair to their music or dance...

i guess that puts you ahead of the game!
P.S. Can anybody explain / do a video on how to do those ridiculously fast rolls on the switch hand? They look like bounce rolls to me but I can't be sure. discussion post on Mon, November 16, 2009 - 9:47 AM

Like these : www.activemusician.com/item--MD.QARK
they spell it Qarkabeb, but it's the same word! I usually just search for "morrocan cymbals" or "morrocan castanets" to avoid the confusion! discussion post on Fri, November 13, 2009 - 1:20 PM
Re: Anyone ever paint the inside of their drum to improve sound?
(in Dumbek Fever)
I should add that it is more durable than paint, as well.
