Samantha Giron Dance Project's MONGRELS captures the spirit of the underground electronic music community, in an evening-length, multi-form dance performance. It is an unorthodox synthesis of creative forms: classical violin blends with glitchy breaks; set and costume designers fuse delicacy with industry, earth with urban. Mongrels' dancers present a forceful yet elegant movement language that merges elements of club dance with modern dance technique.

Hey Fire People!!

Thanx for everybody that made our March Beach Gathering AWESOME! We've gotten a lot of great feedback. Thanx so much.

For April we've got our "1st Annual Easter Bunny Egg Hunt Jam". Yes, u have heard correctly. It's a bunny theme, 2 nite campout w/an egg hunt on Easter morning.

Confirmed djs: J Splat, Liquid Fish, Dave Sweeten, Steph, Ashley Barnes, Heavenly Father, Confidence & TGE and more.
There will also be acoustic perfomances Sat afternoon. If u want to perform - acoustic or dj - let us know while there are still spots available. There will be breaks in the music late nite thru early morning.

We will be going from Fri nite to Sun afternoon, April 10-12, 2009, at a BEAUTIFUL nature preserve, by permission, alongside a creek just 45 mins from LA! There is unlimited parking, no dirt roads, unlimited campsites (close to parking), garbage bin & a clean bathroom (w/o running water). We can fish, wade, barbecue, drink, dance, socialize, hug, bike, hike, etc. The preserve goes on for MILES w/some of the most beautiful landscapes this close to LA.

There will be NO FIRES, but we will have multiple propane heaters for the nite & propane grills for cooking. This is the time to break out the lighted poi, hoops & staff. Time to be creative. Some of our gatherings will be fire restriced, but we will keep the fire within! Lighted spinners make for some GREAT pics as well. Check our site's gallery to see: spiritsfiregatherings.com

Spirit's Fire :: FREE NYE Gathering!

Hey all,
Our NYE party is ON!!!! It will be at a killer, beautiful, intimate forest location, just 30 mns from LA overlooking a beautiful lake. Djs Steph, TGE & Dave Sweeten have already been confirmed with others to be added. We will go from early New Years eve till late New Years day. There is plenty of room for camping. We will have a bonfire to keep us warm at nite, though the weather is forecasted to be increasingly warmer up thru New Years day. We are very excited & have already gotten a bunch of confirmations behind the scenes, from cool folks that wanna do something DIFFERENT for New Years & not paying tons of $. Oh, did we mention the party is free? Donations will be accepted for those who can.
