I live simply but think convolutedly. I spend a lot of time at my funky bungalow in East Asheville that is modest, uncluttered, and colorful. I'm surrounded by horses, cows, and braying donkeys, yet minutes from driving to town to do anything that looks out of the ordinary and fun. "Fun" at home includes cooking something sumptuous, digging in the garden, or sitting in a spot of sun. Fun out and about is listening to live music, watching bellydancers, a Glenis Redmond poetry reading, an independent film, or restaurant food that makes my eyes roll back in ecstasy. I also like short road trips to Charleston, Athens, Boone, or wherever. I like things that are a bit funky, unique, aesthetic and of good quality. Some words that describe me are: intelligent, quiet, calm, patient, sensual, introspective, considerate, stubborn, strong, goal-oriented, independent.
