My Testimonials

June 9, 2004
I have so much to thank dB for. If I had not realized that life has so much to offer other than the ordinary I never would have met him. He is curiously amusing and equally as insane. He is fun to be with and is constantly aware of the importance of good friends. Kisses to you! All of my thanks ;-)

FoodCandy has hit the symbolic mark of 2000 members (two thousand). That's cool. Now is the time to join - wouldn't it be cool to tell your friends you were in the first 2-3 thousand members on MySpace?

Went to the Crave opening with notable appearances of Lee Anne Wong, Josie-Smith Malave (both FoodCandy members and so nice), Andrea Beaman, and of course David Martin. The food was great, but I mostly pressed on a randomly chosen and turned out to be excellent Syrah. I think I had 6-7 glasses of that, but it was really good from the first one. I will drag a big crowd for dinner to Crave some time.

We met with Myra at Teany on the Lower East Side and talked for an hour and a half about her life and her new book, entitled The Healthy Hedonist Holidays: A Year of Multi-Cultural, Vegetarian-Friendly Holiday Feasts.

M. cooks lots of stuff from her cookbooks, so I guess I owe liking vegetarian food to Myra.

The Useless Alphabet is a small show that fit in the loft space, much less grandiose than Danger Zone, well attended by dozens of Russians.

I made chili. Beef chili with chipotle chilies and cilantro to be specific from this recipe. I mixed beef and turkey from Мясной Привоз and added some tomatos as most people suggested. Now that is what I am talking about!

My Profile

Age
33
about me
In the collective dream of this truly endless universe I was born in Moscow, USSR and lived most of my life in Geneva, Switzerland. Being a classic geek, I have a website (www.dblock.org), that will lure you into believing that you know everything about me by merely reading the superficial alphabetized list of what I believe I am. Yet, I am told that I can be very complicated by ones and that I am plain by others. Instead of judging, I can be evil. As a diligent virgo, I live for a very mean and unexpected revenge for acts that should be forgiven. I am paradoxaly a very giving egoist as I do not like people, but am hungry for anonymous crowds and hence very social.
