I was writing an email today in which I was describing how, when faced with a tricky situation, I sometimes try to imagine how Bob would handle it thoughtfully -- this made me realize that Bob is actually a role model for me. The role in question is that of leader, teacher-by-example, caring friend, and careful guardian. He's all those things and still remembers how to dance all night. Now there's something to look up to.

about me
Let's see... I used to work as a software engineer, still think like one. Since before I can remember, I've loved music (mother dear says I danced in the crib). A random hobby: I like making stereophonic recordings. It's a way to engage with sound and, at least as much, to play with nifty gear. In recent months, I've been exploring more disciplined meditation and getting more tastes of the great outdoors.
In design, I appreciate elegance through simplicity (think Japanese and some modern Italian). My apartment doesn't reflect that everywhere, though last year I did get the living and dining rooms into a state I love. I think a lot about how much more fun and openness there could be on our little planet, and I like helping to move in that direction.
