I'd describe myself as a left-wing Jewish agnostic with a sarcastic wit, a decent job, an open mind, and most of his sh-t together. I've done my homework. I'm honest, respectful, communicative, open minded, funny, and self-aware. I turned 40 this year...I almost feel like a grownup...but I still get carded in bars sometimes, heh heh :) I'll confess to being a bit of an urban snob (15 years in DC), but I promise to be nice, even if you're from the 'burbs. Last time I checked, I do NOT live in a Christian nation...I like to pretend that I live in a pluralistic one, despite the current political climate. I am not "straight-acting"...nor am I "gay-acting"...I'm just myself.

I usually move through life at a quick pace, but I also like to be a slug sometimes...and I am most definitely NOT a morning person. I don't smoke...everything else in moderation. In a room full of Democrats, I'm usually the one furthest to the Left. I have a diverse mix of friends of all genders, ethnicities, religions, sexual orientations. I'd be bored otherwise.

I'm a really big film buff, but indie films only, please...I waste obscene amounts of money on digital cable just so I can have IFC and Sundance at home...I can't stand most of what gets vomited out of Hollywood, and that goes for Broadway musicals, as well. Some personal film favorites include Parker Posey, Tom Tykwer, Kieslowski, Hal Hartley, Todd Haynes.

I'm also a big music lover - in my collection, you'll find punk, alternative, classical, pop, and even some gay boy disco sh-t. I love to cook and eat (I was a reviewer for Zagat's in DC last year). I love to read and write (um, can ya tell?), I'm a news junkie, and I've got a penchant for languages (studied French, Spanish, Latin, Hebrew, Yiddish). I travel a lot domestically for work, and want to do more international travel. I love swimming and biking...as career demands grow, it's been a challenge to find the time to swim the daily miles that I used to.
