The future of Internet radio is in immediate danger!

Royalty rates for webcasters have been drastically increased by a recent ruling and are due to go into effect on July 15 (retroactive to Jan 1, 2006!). If the increased rates remain unchanged, the majority of webcasters will go bankrupt and silent on this date. Internet radio needs your help! The Internet Radio Equality Act has recently been introduced in both the House and Senate to save the Internet radio industry before the regulation... read more

"Watch?? I'm gonna pray, man! Know any good religions? --Zaphod Beeblebrox (Douglas Adams)

To perhaps give us a sense of where we are going, a quick run down of where we came from… an historical tragedy:

The Council of Ancyra denounced the worship of the Goddess Artemis in 314 CE. In 324 CE Emperor Constantine declared Christianity the only official religion of the Roman Empire. Of course he did nothing about the cult of Emperor apotheosis and worship. At Dydima, Asia Minor, he sacked t... read more

“Dance as if no one were watching, sing as if no one were listening, love as if you’ve never been hurt, and live each day as if it were your last.” --Irish proverb
When you do what you like most, taking to your heart's entering your sanctum... what does that look like?
Some kind of responsible freedom? live and let live?
Is it a Devadasi salutation dance of the intensifying and pleasing recreation of serene delight?

In this theme I wanted to exhort to readers here the myriad-minded ... read more

"Nature! We are surrounded and enveloped by her – unable to step outside her, unable to get into her more deeply. Un-asked and unwarned, she takes us up into the circle of her dance and carries us along till we are wearied and fall from her arms…Men are all in her and she in all…Even the most unnatural is Nature , even the crudest pedantry still has at touch of her genius…Life is her fairest invention, death but her artifice whereby to have much life… All is there in her always. She knows not... read more

Much nonsense is said about the uncertainty principle... and uncertainty is inherent in knowing - that there are limits to the extent of our classical (human) views of precision-knowledge, as in the case of the precision of measurements of velocity and position, and where the observer effects the outcome in predicting/describing physical systems, where the power to "observe" thereby forces a "collapse" of a quantum superpositionary wave system. It does call to question the furniture of relati... read more

New again to PDX area since last September '06, slowly socializing in community, craft/artistic/writing ambitions. Friends are important. Easy-going, enjoy my own company... About me? Rising to meaning in real colloquy inside/outside... circling near the nucleus of that Mystery... I'm a very different Scorpio/Sun, Virg/Asc., Gemini/Moon... though I'm more into astrolore than Astrology, and more into resourcing direct sources than neoPagan revisionism. Still, I acknowledge need for celebrating/coordinating/harmonizing with the round of turning year wheel with kindred souls.... for Her sake. Intense sometimes, introverted others, attentive lover, loyal once inside, but non-possessive, humble... silly, cheeky, busy about what I can bring more than about me... I'm a true steward of all.
