If any of you are in the area of Santa Cruz on a Friday night, come down to the Boardwalk for free concerts on the beach. I am signing again this year! It had been too quiet since I had to put Claire, my parakeet, to sleep about a month ago. So I got some new "babies"...my ratties! They are so cute! They even went to school with me on Friday because one of the teachers that I work with loves rats and begged me to bring them in. They were the stars all day and were so well behaved with all the kids' attention and excitement.

Well, I made it back from DC mostly here in one piece. Totally worn out, but I had a great time. The group of 8th graders I was chaperone for were awesome and we all had a fun time. Here is a photo I took of the Jefferson Memorial and the full moon on my iPhone.
