Our CD is pretty much in the can and in final stages of mixing. And this weekend we recorded the two songs from Twin Peaks, Falling, the theme song, and Into the Night,which are going to be one side of a vinyl EP that is going to be released in Italy, backed by two other pieces of Twin Peaks music that are being reorded by an Italian band. If and when it becomes available in the US I will let you know.
John Neff fans will be pleased to know that he fired up the guitarchestra for "Falling"
The American release of "Dark Reel" ( www.darkreel.com/) is slated for March 10. Again, I will post more info as I get it as to premieres, special screenings, any other tie-ins that come up.
And we are starting to book shows in the Bay Area and eventually Beyond. March 11 will be the first Full Moon Fantasmagoria at the Tradewinds in Cotati, California.( www.tradewindsbar.com)
I am Qatana, I"m the newest member of Nightsage and somehow have been appointed Promo Grrrl and chronicler. Ijoined he band in October and after a single practice in the studio found myself onstage in front of a rather large video camera and about 75 strangers, and my next-door-neighbor.
How do I begin to describe Nightsage, the Band? A wonderfully creative woman and a master musician/engineer /producer with a background steeped in years of work for David Lynch, combined with some damn serious musicians and a Dream.
What are we like? A little jazzy, a little bluesy, a little Pink Floyd meets Julee Cruze meets Elvis meets te Doors, with a goth asthetic and a touch of the circus.Due to ur association with David Lynch we also have become the House Band for the annual Twin Peaks Festiva lin Seattle. I am so excited to be actually going on Tour, in a Tour Bus!
Anyway, I plan to start blogging a tad more aggressively and cross-posting this to the Nightsage Fantasmagoria Tribe, as well as Myspace and LiveJournal.

about me
Nightsage and famed guitarist/bassist and audio/film mix engineer John Neff collaborate on original material based on Nightsage's lyrical compositions and poetry, beginning with her new book of lyrical poetry entitled LeeriX. The band performs music from LeeriX along with John Neff retrospective material including songs by Steppenwolf, SunDevil, Argentina Turner and BlueBOB, and selections from Neff's new projects such as Space Surfing and The Electric Blues Band. Nightsage also performs David Lynch Film Soundtrack material, including appearances at the annual Twin Peaks Festival in North Bend, WA. We also employ projection of original visual compositions, dance, lighting and stage effects to set up moods, emotions, energy and thought provocation.
