lol. saturday nur and i spent the day in the tv studio, filming an episode for "the pleasure saucer", a very very very late night tv show on the local cable access channel, urtv. we shot all of our bellydance choreographies on a blue carpet in front of a blue screen. at first it was really strange to have no audience besides the two camera men and the three video cameras, (which were huge!) but eventually, after a couple songs, we settled in and it... read more

We went to Garden City SC. funny since i lived there for 10 months as a kid. Mael's aunt has a house there, really close to the beach, so we wouldn't have to get a hotel room, and we were able to get a dog sitter to stay at the house, so we had 4 whole days to ourselves for the first time since our honeymoon! I'm digging the wild blueberries growing in my backyard, as long as i can remember to watch out for the yellowjackets that have dug in under one of the plants. it's funny, i never would have thought the scrubby little bushes were anything special the day we looked at our house, but in july that first year we were enjoying the fruits even while we were struggling with the dry well and the missing gas lines. last year there were no berries, due to the drought, and i really wouldn't have expec...
