America is really polarized these days. On our right we have America's cheerleaders. They like to fly flags on their pick-ups, loudly insist that America is the greatest country on earth, and always welcome an opportunity to prove it with a war in some distant unfortunate part of the world. I guess that's OK; it's good to have pride and such, but pride alone doesn't win the game. It takes constant practice, critical self-examination, and sometimes you even have to trade out the players. So that's why we have America's coaches on the left , like Debbie, who work tirelessly to make sure America REALLY IS the greatest country on earth.

Debbie speaks truth to power. She has been an important voice for peace and decency throughtout Texas.

Besides which, she's a real sweetie who really knows how to par-TEE! Yee-haw!
