My name is Sophia Liu but I like to call myself Bliu...blue…BlueVelvet…the color of my hair…the color I have always fallen in love with. But I am a lover of movement, floatin with my rollerblades and dancing to the fluxing bass. I'm currently in Boulder doing my PhD at University of Colorado, Boulder with the ATLAS (Alliance for Technology, Learning, and Society) Institute. Much of my time and energy is spent researching grassroots media in disaster situations specifically through visual forms of communication. But my life and being goes far beyond words...
