I am really enjoying this month - the sun has been shining....Its Summer! My new troupe Urban Shimmy unveil next Friday and we have 3 performances in June alone!
As for Saturday Shimmy - This month the energy is earthy and fused with African styling for bellydancers

Got married! Just back down to tribal earth from honeymoon.......

Tunisia next week - Tribal Djerba - looking forward to teaching there and meeting all the girls who are coming along

What a weekend - Tribal Vibe Glasgow

Thanks to everyone who helped to make Tribal Vibe in Glasgow such an enjoyable experience - even as the organiser I had a great time! Tribal Vibe south was great too and it was wonderful to be able to spend so much time with Paulette, Jen, and Gina from Gypsy Caravan and Jeff and Doug from Mizna. Having live music at the Saturday evening show from Jeff and Doug and the barefoot bellydance band was fantastic!

I have updated my website with all the photos and will add more here too (watch this space!)

I am now having a quieter Nov and Dec and looking forward to what 2008 has to bring - a wedding AND Tribal Vibe 2008!!

This is going to be a great weekend - we have fantastic workshops and a great show planned for Saturday night.
Workshop bookings will close Friday 19th October and only a few workshops will be open for pay as you go at the weekend.

May update

Its dance dance dance at the moment and I am loving it!

Tribal Ford is round the corner and last weekend I hosted Geneva in Glasgow for 4 workshops over two days. The gals came from far and wide and did not know what had hit them! The Suhalia system in action with Geneva's own encouraging teaching style and enthusiasm and very much her own moves to share with us.

Off tonight to a bellydance party night after teaching a group of women on their hen weekend today - what a laugh and good fun, they didnt realise how hard work the dance is and that was me going easy on them!

Getting ready for Tribal Ford now and I am looking forward to my class troupe perfomr themselves ( you go girls!) and also meeting up with my Rashani sisters for a blast ! Wow , life doesn't get much better than this..... happy dancing

What's on in Bonnie Scotland 2007

There is SO much dance planned for 2007 I am already enjoying the year in anticipation!
In May I am hosting Geneva form the Us on Sat/Sun 13/14th May in GLasgow

The BIG one - TRIBAL VIBE a festival of workshops, performances and shopping for tribal lovers with special guest Paulette Rees-Denis and dancers and musicians of Gypsy Caravan - doesn't get any better than this.

Paulette is open to doing some teacher training when she is her - so if you are seriously up for it - let me know soon and we hope it will go ahead. This dance is all about sharing and extending the tribal dance community and I hope with the workshops and teachers I am able to complement with my own classes that I can contribute to the global tribal movement because it is just that!
