What you see below is a couple of years old, yet I feel it is still very applicable to the way I view my life... Yes, years have gone by since I wrote the Friendster Profile ( below), and I live in West LA now, not San Francisco, though San Francisco will always have a special place in my heart. LA is very alive too--it is gritty, spicy, raw, and always redefining itself. I am really turned on by the magnitude of brilliant, creative energy that this place has. LA is a place of extremes, being that there is a strong positive and a strong negative polarity to it all. I am just getting settled in, so I am still trying to adapt and hold center in the midst of an energy so different from that which I experienced in San Francisco Bay Area. I want to ride the waves of positivity, and work really hard on that, so that I do not get sucked into too many under currents of negative energy, and consequently tap into my shadow side too much... I am focusing more on my yoga/meditation practice to help stabilize my energy here.

As copied from my Friendster Profile for convenience: I moved to San Francisco a year and a half ago. There are so many grooves to tap into here. The city is alive! I am both temperamental and experimental. I am always exploring new things, or even the same things from a different vantage point. Recently, I started working down in the financial district, and I love the walk home from work. I always meet the most colorful people. In the city, I feel more a part of humanity . I feel so connected with all of the sufferings and joys of the people I see all around me. I enjoy metaphysical studies, electronic music, and meeting all kinds of new people. I love aesthetics, anything beautiful. I am learning to see beauty in everything. It is an interesting transition. I see so many "I's" in my profile, and when I say "I" I want it to be inclusive like the word "we." I want to work on changing the "I's" in my life to "him" or "her" or simply "we." I am moving from a single-minded, self- centered perspective to a more universal, inclusive, and altruistic point of view, and it feels great!
