I started dancing in public at age 8 after being inspired by an '80's Christian musical theater production called "High Tops" (not kidding). I started performing numbers from the production in talent shows. Through my teenage years I danced in a pop/hip-hop duo called None of the Above. A brilliant name, which ensured that no one ever came to our shows. "3:00- Children's Ballet Troupe. 4:00- Elvis impersonator. 5:00- None of the Above." ....yeah. We somehow never realized that was a bad idea. At age 19, I took a community education bellydance class with Zadora, and loved it. I took classes off and on for three years, and then decided to get serious. I joined Zadora's troupe, Saharan Odyssey, and danced with them for seven years. In September of '07 I joined up with Samira and Cairo Fusion and I'm having a blast!
