transylvanian vibration

so dear ones, after a long/short 4 years away I find myself back on my home land in Transylvania, Romania...

so much to say about this land, so much that is yet unsaid and so much that has been thoroughly distorted.

this land is old, this nation is old, more than 2000 years old and it bears its age with a lovely and cumbersome grace.

contrasting in unique ways, this reality never ceases to puzzle and amaize me with its ever-never shifting people and peculiar interpretation of the modern world.
truthfully there is so much to speak of in regards to this original phenomena that I'll need many a blog to mearly scratch the surface.

nevertheless, if you've never been here, than try to imagine a world of medieval cities and ancient villages, of gypsies and stray dogs, of exquisite architecture and horrendous comunist flats,all alongside the newly built banks and skyscrapers that are threatening to take over as they usually do,
of ox pulled carts and really really fancy cars, of fast food places that sells kebabs and american hamburgers and amaizing home made organic food that is still the country's way of eating, of beautiful fashionable women and begging children,
a world where people delve so deep into their emotions that they end up in a sea of alcohol@)@ only to feel even more.
wise and ignorant, talented and careless, honest and deceving, powerfull and defeated by so many invaders with the most recent one being the European Union that is planing to eficiently wipe out Romania's precious tradition and replace it with McDonalds and COCO Chanel...romanians as I know them are on the brink of extinction.
but unlike the panda, they will not just cease to exist and die. no. they will do what they have always done: adapt to the new ways, the invaders ways. copy them, reinterpret them and than proceed to pull off the most intricate manouvers you can imagine to make money and eat well and overall continue to live just like they have for 2000 years, under a different rule, speaking different languages disobeying different laws and being perfectly themselves only entirely changed.

what can I say? I love my people! even if there are things that I don't relate with anymore and moments that I really feel I am a part of two cultures, my roots are here, in this perfectly mad old world, that has too much beauty and mystery to describe and enough quirkiness to last for aeons. I am a living breathing ancient future creation of this land and I sing its praises and swear at its stuborness all with complete serenity for I know that this puzzle will never be solved, this yin-yang will never let into gray and for that I am proud and desilusioned all at once...

and this little glimpse the window allowed, well this is neither true, neither false, neither real neither imagined, it's just a note with a transylvanian vibration and I hope that it tickled you just right, enough to come here and hear it for yourselves...

I belive that paradox's questions are important as they are intelligent and deep demands of ensuring that we understand our power, potential and response'ability in this ever shifting paradigm....

you see, I lived in comunist Romania and post-revolution eastern europe until 4 years ago and witnessed soooo much poverty and gnarliness and depression and fear that naturally I was affected, my filters were conditioned... than I came here to the fluffy mindless everything is perfect reality and just about lost myself in unsourmountable amounts of frustration as to how blind everyone is to what is really going on...an the whole ansamble that goes with all that

and everyone told me that I'm too intense, that I judge and that I should embrace and accept the shinny rotten apple I was seeing

lots to say about the process I've been going through maybe one day we'll get the chance to share this live

manyways, here and now I am a merger of realities a hybrid that is stabilizing, a tree rooting in itself and not in any ground of any country of any idea system

I ask which world? north america, because as you know, the rest of the world is a completly different reality

make that the purpose of your day if you will, to connect with someone you would not normally connect with and create a moment of joy, wheter that be in the gas station, at wal-mart, in the forrest or in the garden.

and because there are greater forces at work here, when that moment occurs, knowledege eternal will teach us how to do what is needed to preserve joy and purity, for is that not really the intention???

accept the paradox, you are a part of it, living it and breathing it, we have created our world and as with all of our creations, it carries a beauty that will prevail, even in death, even in destruction

trust that your happiness is the most environmental choice, true happiness,
the one that makes us look around and love what we see and if we want to change the world, it teaches us to do so calmy and paciently so the world may understand the change and adopt it naturally...
