I know I've been quiet lately but I'm back in the game! I got a new day job (my dream job at Boeing!) that has taken up a lot of my passion and energy for the last couple of months. I've now got a handle on it and I'm looking for dance opportunities and ways to re-energize myself.

I think it's the cold that is making me reflective but I wonder...what do other dancers do to drive themselves? I find that I am a bit on the lazy side so the only way I can make myself buckle down and really grow as a performer (and I do want to grow and improve my perfromance and my art) is to really put on the pressure and sign up for a competition or a large show. I sometimes wish I had a different type of personality. One that was less likely to raise my hand and volunteer for things or more capable of dropping out. But that's just not the kind of person I am. So I look forward to seeing everyone down at Double Crown. I've delayed my arrival until the very last minute as this cold just will not go away.
