Finally, for John Colby!

Your first card is the young lively Page of Swords. He is the adept student, in good form for what he has been taught, and ready for the challenges to come. His stance could be that of one who is actively awaiting instruction, perhaps pausing between movements, or could it be the stance of one who demonstrates so to teach others. He is free of all restrictions of movement. Nothing is in his way; clear, breezy skies and green pastures surround him. His presence suggests an active period of learning or practicing a skill or studying a process. An internship? A new job, perhaps? Whatever it is, you are ready to face it, to acquire it, to master it.

Your second card, Temperence, shows a very composed and sevene looking angel who is demonstrating his incredible balance by hovering over a pond while pouring liquids between two golden chalices. The angel is doing things that an average joe would find nearly impossible, showing equilibrium and total control of the objects and the substances which he is manipulating. A picture of moderation, control, unusual command, this card suggets that you have a good temper, a good handle of the current situations. Like the angel of Temperance, you have it all under control, or at least you could have it under control if you just figure out how to balance the controlable elements...

Finally, the Queen of Pentacles sits on her throne admiring a large pentacle which rests in her lap. She looks comfortable and comforting, surrounded by earthly finery. Not materialistc, she is content with what comes to her naturally. She seems patient and wise. She's probably very supportive and nurturing as well, the consumate partner in life. For you, she should be a role model, suggesting that you be supportive and nurturing to others, and that you strive to be a good partner and friend.

a reading for the ironman

your first card is the five of pentacles. here you have two people out in the cold outside a house of worship. they look needy, sick, dejected. this card could represent your situation right now, how you feel either physically or mentally, excluded, forgotten, rejected. perhaps it is the way you are treated by others or perhaps it is how you treat yourself. at the least, this card represents a setback in your life, or maybe just an apathetic attitude. something in not going well, perhaps your health, perhaps your financial status, perhaps a relationship. you are or have been at the very least uninvolved in things you would normally be very involved in. on a larger scale, the interpretation could mean depression.

your next card is the last card of the major arcana, "the world", a good card to follow such a depressing one as the five of pentacles. here you have a naked heavenly beauty flanked by four heavenly icons, the symbols matthew, mark, luke and john. (the writers of the gospels of the new testament). the beauty is holding two batons and seems to be engaged in a dance or something. this card could hold a clue to the solution you need because it is the card of involvement, the end of the apathy. there is a lot going on in this card, 5 figures in all, like a group solution to your problem. these figures seem to be a positive spin on a current problem. it could mean that you are or will be presently involved in something worthy of your participation. it could mean that you should participate more fully than you have been. perhaps you should be of service to someone or involved in something. i don't know what exactly, of course.

your third card is the queen of cups, who represents patience and strength. the queen of cups is the perfect mate, everything you want in a companion: loving, caring, strong, spiritual and respected. she is staring intently at a large golden thingy as if she is waiting for something to happen. the wonderful thing about the queen of cups is that there is no negative readings possible with her. the message is that if you do as she does, you will find success. in other words, if you wait intently, if you have patience, you will find what you seek. you should ask yourself, what would the queen of cups do? (wwtqocd?)

for miss marshall on her 60th birthday

your first card was the 6 of pentacles. here is a man standing, holding scales in one hand and distributing coins to kneeling beggars with the other. the man looks wealthy and the beggars look grateful. this card represents generosity and gifts, either given or received. since it is your birthday, i would say it represents gifts received. there is nothing to fear here because the 6 of pentacles is good for you any way it falls, whether you are the wealthy man or the grateful beggar.

your second card was 6 of the greater arcana ~ the lovers. here we have naked adam and eve flanked by a large fiery angel. the two are depicted at a time before eating the forbidden fruit. they had not yet disobeyed god's law. obviously this could mean love, but we both know that love can go in many ways wrong. it also might hint at a trial that is to come, a foolish idea or decision (of biblical proportions? or it could simply be an attraction that will come into your life.

the third card, and yes this is really the card that i chose for you with my eyes closed, was the 6 of cups. now i must say that i was stunned when i realized that i pulled three sixes on your sixty, and i won't try to connect any 666 hoo-ha with your reading. i think the emphasis of the 6 is nothing but a positive sign that your energy is strong at this time in your life. i was excited that this happened. it makes me believe myself more, if you know what i mean.

so anyway... the 6 of pentacles. here is a bright and cheery scene of two children surrounded by cups filled with flowers. this is the card of memory, of looking back at the past. you have reason to look back now. birthdays always do that to us. hopefully you have a couple of smiles as you look back. besides looking back, this card represents new beginnings or new relationships. the great thing about this card is that it can go either way or both ways. you might have a new relationship and get to look back at your past too. but either way. it's a pleasant picture. i was really hoping that your reading would go this way. and it did.

These Three Cards Tell Your Story

Lauren.....VI of Wands....V of Pentacles...IV of Wands

You, my dear, are seeking recognition, deserving recognition, enjoying the good life, feeling good. The VI of Wands portends an upswing in life's journey. You are worthy of praise. You know it and so do others. You have triumphed, in some way, against the odds. You are seen as triumphant. People admire you. You feel pride.

But don't be too comfortable with this success! Next comes opposition, in the form of the V of Pentacles. Conflict, despair, stuggling, and rejection. Yes, here it is, after the recognition comes the rejection. (Or could it be that you were indeed never received your due recognition?) The door has been shut in your face. You feel excluded, you have no support. You stand alone to suffer.

But then there comes a way of breaking free from the despair. The IV of Wands show an amenable outcome and resolved conflicts. This means that you are able to cut loose from the negativity and release yourself from the awful feeling of rejection. You could be surprised and happy in the end.

How does this reading fit into the story of your life? Only you know it. I only ask that you realize the many possibilities that this little reading offers.
