What a fabulous ShatFest!

I finally got to go to ShatFest last night. ShatFest is an annual tribute to William Shatner's most over-the-top really really bad performances. It was of course, a Thrillville event at Oakland's Parkway Speakeasy theater in Oakland! You gotta love those guys!

Seeing the clip of William Shatner performing Elton John's "Rocketman" alone was worth the $7.00 admission.

The film was Impulse, a truely terrible serial killer flick. Oh my God! It was hilarious! You've got to rent this and see it for yourselves! I truely believe that Mike Meyer's saw this movie and patterned one of Dr Evil's notorious mannerisms from Shatner.

All hail Bill
I didn't used to be much of a Shat-nerd, ha, I just made that up... but really I dig his work as bad as it is. I aquired a copy of his "Has been" album from a friend and wow, just wow, the simple indelicacies of it, wow. But seriously he can rock it out, like the "I can't get behind that" track with Rollins, sheer fun! I'll definitly check out the ShatFest next time, woo.
Thanks for the low down.

Another really weird Shatner film......
If you really want to get into obscure and strange Shatner fare, rent "Incubus" which is performed entirely in the fictional language of Esparanza.
