Jared is a wise and fascinating individual. I am often frustrated that he lives so far away. Someday my husband and I will kidnap him and keep him in our basement. We will feed him peanut-butter sandwiches, and force him to engage in lengthy philosophical debates.

about me
I just moved to the Boston Metro, and I'm currently slaving in the coal mines of the MIT neurobiology department. I'm looking long-term to work doing good for some sort of a nonprofit or ngo, but in the interim, I'm going to try to get involved in progressive activism and other community social/political/cultural stuff on my own time. I'm probably eventually grad-school bound though, after a few years' hiatus from organized education, in which I hope to grow up and figure myself out a bit, and maybe find an area of study that brings together enough of my interests to satisfy my ever-wandering attention. I'm ambivalently ambitious, and I take myself and my life seriously, but not so seriously as to be incapable of good wacky fun when the opportunity arises. I'm a media and culture junkie, both highbrow and lowbrow. I write semi-compulsively, and read fully compulsively. I spend the rest of my time walking around the city aimlessly, exploring, people-watching, and taking pictures, and hanging out in various coffee shops and dives, in search of good conversation and potent potables. I'm rarely bored, and hopefully, as a consequence, rarely boring. aim: disblfsuspender
