My Testimonials

I forgot to mention, this man loves ellipses.

I find when you spend four years loving someone, you learn just as much about yourself as you learn about them. I learned a lot about this man. But he brought me enlightenment about myself I can never repay him for.

Thanks, J. You'll always be my Tyler Durden.

about me
about me?

I don't like writing these things. It seems really tedious and damn near frustrating at times. What to write? What would someone want to know about me? Why even bother? Speaking of whys, why would anyone want to know?

I write sometimes; poems and rhymes.
Reflective images escape the depths of my mind.

on occasion, it happens when I don't mean it to. sometimes I ride that wave of inspiration out.

long after society says I should have known, I've found what I believe to be my calling. At a crossroads recently - I've decided to break previous patterns of behavior and decision making, and chase this one down. we'll know in a couple years how that works out.

the reward at this journey's conclusion? a master's in education and a job teaching social studies in a high school someplace.

Same as it Ever Was

I mean, if you guys are the stand-up American patriots that you pretend to be; where’s the outrage? Where’s the diatribe about [...]

Its incredible to me that people get away with such a blatant manipulation of a statement. The absence of one word in some cases make a substantial difference to the overall meaning of the statement. In 2005, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, president of Iran, gave a speech about Zionism. In this speech he quoted the late Ayatollah [...]

“When something is broken you don’t keep using it and pretend it will fix itself. If the brakes on your car go bad, you don’t drive around telling yourself that the next time you hit the brake pedal things will work out.” Neophilus put it very succinctly back in 2004, on the cusp of the last [...]

Usually when I am inspired to write a new blog post, moved by stories of terrible injustice or unbelievably hypocrisy, I try to stay focused on producing concise, coherent and above all intelligent disseminations of current events, carefully stating my point and backing it up with relevant facts. Today I will do none of this.  Today [...]

It was no surprise recently when a survey conducted by the Pew Forum on Religion and Public Life found that white evangelical Christians are more likely to support torture than non-religous people.  No surprise because people that abdicate their moral self-determination to organized authorities feel more free to indulge in their dark passions than those [...]
