The word comes from the Latin "quantus," for "how much." Behind this, one finds the fundamenta...

about me
DJ Story is a magical man to have in the recording studio. His love for music started with him dancing to reggae basslines while still inside his mother's womb. He was born in a small cottage on the beach of Negril, Jamaica in 1985.
Blessed with an incredible ear for music, DJ Story would play the drums and other instruments at jams his parents would have at their house. DJ Story went on part of a tour with the famous reggae band Justin Hinds and the Dominoes, and enjoyed hanging out with the Jamaican musicians. His father Jonathan Arthur was in the band playing tenor sax and vocals. When DJ Story was 12 years old he joined a youth marimba ensemble learning African music. The group was called Tatenda which means we give thanks in the Seona (pronounced Showna) language. He was with that group for about 4 years, and they played at a lot of benefits, weddings and shows. They rehearsed at least once a week with their teacher Peter Swing. In the year 2000 they went to Victoria, British Columbia, and performed at the Zimbabwe Music Festival When he was 14 years old, he went to a free DJ scratching workshop in Santa Fe, New Mexico, at a teen center called Warehouse 21. The teachers played a lot of underground hip hop, and house music. That is also where he learned the basics of mixing vinyl. As soon as he got his first taste of the turntables he was hooked. He got a summer job to save enough money to buy himself his own decks ASAP. More recently DJ Story has been learning about video editing, graphic and web design, and has been DJing at special events on Kauai. He has also been steadily composing his own brand of mind altering futuristic/ambient world fusion, and collaborating with other artists from around the globe for the last 8 years. Now at 21 years old, DJ Story enjoys listening to electronic music artists like Shulman, Shpongle, Bluetech, Atman, Younger Brother, Pitch Black, Lemon Jelly, Amethestium and many other artists for inspiration. DJ Story loves having fun, and being creative at every opportunity that presents itself... www.intuitivebeats.com/ www.buddhastudios.com/ www.wemusicstore.com/djstory www.myspace.com/djstory www.karmafree.com/
