my homepage today
(blog entry)
Imagine my surprise when I saw the Yes on 8 banner on my homepage today. I immediately fired off a an angry email to the site, before reading a blog stating that it was pretty much out of their control. In which case, the fault lies with Google,...

2008, Best Burn Ever?
(blog entry)
So... American Dream. Did anyone else find art that actually reflected the theme? or made fun of it? satirized it? 'Bummer' was funny, but how did it speak to the theme? 'Babylon' was as close to an affectionate response as anything... But,...

Hello all:
As some of you may know, every year since 2003 I have compiled and mixed collections of dance music that, for me, reflect my feelings and experiences with Burning Man, all as part of my ongoing dance music series 'Danceteria'. After...

Lots has happened. But I won't wear out my fingers, and bore you with details. Here are the broad strokes:
Went to Burning Man. Had a fantastic time. Met some great people, even had a playa boyfriend for a few days. Just a truly awesome tim...

New podcast
(blog entry)
Some of you may know that I've been mixing and releasing dance music compilations for a number of years now. Well, I've taken the leap and created a podcast. You can get it from the website www.danceterialive.com, or through iTunes here: ...

about me
Quiet, but humorous. Humble, but opinionated. Shy, but piggy. Spiritual, but worldly. Geeky, but not fanatical. Partnered, but not dead. I`ve not seen the inside of a gym in about two years, keep generally fit by eating well and not owning a car. Attitude free, non-smoker, social drinker, chemically agnostic.
Many interests, including music (ex- and virtual DJ. www.danceterialive.com), movies (going to see them, and making my own), and of course men (what I can do with them, and what they can do with me). Spring to Fall, Giants baseball occupies a good chunk of my time and attention.
Imagine my surprise when I saw the Yes on 8 banner on my homepage today. I immediately fired off a an angry email to the site, before reading a blog stating that it was pretty much out of their control. In which case, the fault lies with Google, who, it should be noted, has given thousands of dollars to the NO on 8 campaign.
Anyway, I fired off the attached screengrab to info@protectmarriage.com, with much laughter.

'Babylon' was as close to an affectionate response as anything... But, really, anything else? The capital dome thing? The ski memorial? The Middle Eastern-looking mannequin stuck half-way in the ground with the surprised look on its face? The Man?
One thing that did seem to repeat itself throughout the City was ...

Hello all:
As some of you may know, every year since 2003 I have compiled and mixed collections of dance music that, for me, reflect my feelings and experiences with Burning Man, all as part of my ongoing dance music series 'Danceteria'. After my first Burn in 2004, I made a film and released a companion compilation, both called 'HeartBurn', and each year since (except one) I have put out audio sequels... all of which is a clumsy introduction to the following:
A few months ago, I dec...

Went to Burning Man. Had a fantastic time. Met some great people, even had a playa boyfriend for a few days. Just a truly awesome time, and can't wait to go back, even if it's not with the Pups. There was some drama on the return, and I'm still smarting a little from it. Might be time for a change.
But more importantly: Hubby and I celebrated 10 years. And we bought a house i...

Richard is one of the most talented people I know. Music, art, philosophy, all are his playgrounds, and he fuses them all together as only he can.
While I have only known Richard a few short months, the connection I have made to him goes very deep. He has woven himself inextricably into the fabric of my heart and soul, and I am a better person for it.
"Kind," "compassionate," "caring," "loving" are all words I would use to describe Richard. He strives to make his friends happy, sharing all he has and all he is in the process.

Met Richard a Burning Man 2004
He is one of the kindest guys I ever met.
I'm glad to call him friend and hope our paths cross again.

Richard has the kindest heart and a loving soul. I am glad to call him a friend. He offers a depth and sensitiveness that is hard to find in most men.
