On Friday of this week, I leave for Burning Man with my Astropups. Hard to believe that I'll be standing on the playa, one with the dust, this time next week. I'm really looking forward to it.

This past Saturday, I turned 40, so I'm also looking forward to continuing the celebrations of this milestone in my life. Honestly, the 30's weren't so bad. I spent most of them with the man I love, and for that I'm constantly grateful. The latter part of the decade brought new friends into my life, most of whom remain friends. So, I really can't, and shouldn't bitch and moan. If I could wish for one thing, it would be steady employment. This has elluded me the last couple years.

So, in the spirit of this year's Burning Man theme, here's to looking forward to the Future, with more Hope than Fear.
