Yo - Just back from producing the week-long Miambient @ the Miami Winter Music Conference (www.miambient.com), and have headed home with an arsenal of new tunes and sneak previews from some of the best producers of organic-stylee global groove. So while you might not know what's new and what's not, what you will know on Sunday afternoon is that your post recovery bliss is the amalgamation of surrendering to a persuasion of percussive percolations, a swirl of supersonic suggestions and the embodiment of beats-as-beliefs.
With that, we invite you to join us THIS SATURDAY, APRIL 5th to freak and funk, catch and release, tunnel and soar through an evening of uplifting and celebratory dancefloor freedom!
DANCE SANCTUARY LINE UP:
DJ Dragonfly - 9pm-on ~ all night set:
Plenty of exciting new tracks from friends at Six Degrees Records and OM Records set the tone for a night of dancefloor tectonics as breaks, house, dub, downtempo, drum N bass are are swept into channels of molten bass-boiling global groove, eradicating entire villages of negativity, fear and doubt as we shapeshift the dancfloor into the highest mountain, whence (or "from whence",
depending on your persuasion) we sing your name!
Castle 9 - 8-9pm Opening set
Rare and sweet eclectic global and dubby grooves are the welcoming warm up treats to get you off your feet, outta your head and into your body!
CHILLSPACE LINE-UP:
Yossi Fine!
From Israel via Brooklyn, here's an incredible musician and founder of world groove pioneering Ex-Centric Sound System, also with more credits to his name than the film Ben Hur had extras! Yossi Fine can roll off collaborations with the likes of David Bowie, Eryka Badhu, Lou Reed, Naughty By Nature and Me’shel ndegeocello. He's been featured on over 100 albums, and tonight he rolls out head-nodding, deep dubby loops basslining the chillspace as the cosmic translator at the portal of
groove. See ya on the other side...... and check this clip in the meantime: www.youtube.com/watch
Tutti Pazzi:
Softly sifting the you through the membrane where your working week meets the weekend, Groove Garden Rezzies Sophia and Kat open the chillspace with chilled out eclectic global downtempo
and spacious world rhythms.
Massage maestro Al Chan is on hand to make your tired and tensioned body renewed and restored, Genvieve stirs up treats for the tounge with a palette of organics delights.
