I'm happy to be back to my mountain home of Asheville, NC following a two year gig in Sedona, AZ. It's good to again be with my family of lovely ones.

I am an artist and athlete, scholar and clown, warrior and philosopher… Often considered a Renaissance man by those that know me. I can fix most car troubles, grow and concoct herbal remedies, sew a backpack, give Reiki, build a house from the ground up, converse on fractal math, weld, make my own toothpaste… blah de blah... lotsa' fun stuff that doesn't involve a TV.

I have degrees in Psychology and Exercise Physiology (after seven “changes of the major” in a sweet attempt at lifelong student). I make my income as an Artist, and there are only a few media in which I don’t work. I am constantly educating myself in some new area of study or endeavor (herbology, physics/metaphysics, astronomy, whatever strikes my fancy). I am an inventor. I worked for many years as a wilderness educator, and still enjoy sharing that facet whenever the opportunity arises. I practice Aikido and Tang Soo Do (and various mixes of other martial arts that synchronously come into my life... I digs me some escrima!). I love the outdoors (climbing, biking, paddling, trail running, skating, frisbee, the mountains, the ocean, rivers, jungles, deserts, forests…), to be physical and sweat, as well as chill and meditate. I practice yoga, ayurveda, and food-combining and am deeply into what could be called Tantra.

I live my beliefs, no separation of mental, physical, environmental, spiritual, social or economic facets here. What I am and do is all part of my practice or “evolution”. It has no official name to share, but those who like to categorize things draw parallels between my way and Taoism, Tantra, Buddhism, Native Traditions, the Essenes, and occasionally certain Pagan traditions. As I see it, I'm just being me... and as far from being woo-woo as I am from being mainstream.

Generally, I’m glad to be alive, here, who I am, and most of the time it shows.

I do my thinking *way* outside the box. Maybe not just thinking out of the box...but outside of thought...

I am healthy in body, mind, and spirit, and enjoy the company of others who also hold such things to be important. Laughter is a daily tonic for me and no topic is taboo. I can find humor in anything and usually do (sometimes to the annoyance of the overly serious…oops!). And, maybe you can tell, I like to make up my own words.
