Obviously, I'll be kicking off the weekend tonight with my night BAZAAR over at KingKing where we show Hollywood how to do it proper. I'm super excited to be able to get the COMPLETE GLITCH MOB performing together (Edit, Ooah, Boreta, Kraddy), much less the return of Bil Bless a.k.a. SOTEG, all in the house to just DROP IT!!! This night alone ought to juice everyone up enough to carry through the rest of the weekend with of course the LA DECOM tomorrow, and then all of the after parties, most of which I will be sure to hit, with Space Island finishing me off Sunday morning. :D It's weekends like these that remind me why I live in L.A. So what better way to rinse your brain bins than with a night of gut-wrenching bass and mind-melting melodies??? Well tonight I present to you someone I had play at the Mekka Oasis last year at BM and who has been one of the few artists to really surprise and impress me in a long time, FILASTINE (thanks Camp Carp). To me, he is like the bastard child from a one night stand between Rage Against the Machine and Bassnectar, and who was then adopted and raised by Tipper in Casablanca. Sounding like a gangster from the wrong side of a Baghdad river, this guy is the real deal, and records and produces all his own samples and music out in the field (think Spain, Africa and the Middle East). If you want to be challenged and moved and properly rinsed, check him out as he performs a Live P.A.set at Bazaar tonight at King King in Hollywood. Also on the bill I've got ESKMO back for a tag-team set by another favorite act HOSTAGE, who is also one of the members of EVOL INTENT. Wha da fuh?????
