</a>
<div>That's what I'm calling it, since I've essentially had I think 1 or 2 gigs in the last 4 or 5 months. I'm not out of options or inspiration, but have been very busy taking a class actually in sound recording and electronic music production, moving, evacuating, un-evacuating, and assisting a seminar, before we even get into what's been going on in my personal life!

Now the class is complete, the seminar is complete, evacuating and un-evacuating are complete, and for all intents &amp; purposes here, the move is complete... and June weekends have been filled to the gills with gigs! Starting......... tonight!!

I'm opening 11-12 at the Underscene in Ventura, for 6blocc &amp; Kemst!! In case you weren't aware, 6blocc is the artist formerly known as RAW.... a super heavy old-school hitter not to mention MC Kemst!!.... and prior to myself the Left Side boys will be tearing it up.... I've got my work cut out for me tonight!! &amp;lt;&amp;lt;As I sift through my breakbeat heaters...

See you there!</div>

<div>I pushed him away for 2 years, and then
I told him that he must get over me.
And when he did, I found out just how much I fucking cared.
It hurt. still.
and shocked me, but I'm over the shock part now, just hurt.

don't worry though I'm getting very excited about my set tonight, and I get that I did it to myself, and also that it couldn't have gone any other way... life is just kind of a little bitch like that, but that's ok too, that's how we know we're alive, right?</div>

this guy seriously rocked the place when I heard him down in Ventura at the Bassfreq show. As I played, I actually had the thought that I better bring it right because I knew this guy after me was gonna drop it proper. I've never thought like that as I play before anyone........... I was right.

SB gets a special treat with this break-static freak guesting right here at Red's.

What a week SB is having, breaks featured twice downtown in 2 days in sequence in the same week!!</div>

<div>Come on through! Ms. Victoria got a dose of what I brought to EOS last Saturday and has requested to have that tonight. (Not to be mistaken with when i was slotted for this gig which was back in october). Since I see many of my peeps are not able to keep up with all my gigs....... I'm willing to pull out a few heavy hitters for a 2nd time. :) Some of my peeps maybe think they've heard me, like last week, or they've heard this music too much. I'm personally guaranteeing you, you ain't heard it like this. I can guarantee you this, thanks to the power of digital technology. &amp;lt;&amp;lt;Loving it>></div>

"Is that a rocket in your pocket?"- Pix and quotes: Burning Man 2008

<div>since I don't seem to be able to upload them here. Look at this site where I've been hanging out lately:
http://www.new.facebook.com/album.php?aid=2006555&amp;l=c0b5d&amp;id=1296080045

I also did quotes!! Got some good ones although I think I missed some!!

************QUOTABLES from the BURN*********************

"Burning Man is COOL!" -Josh Volz
"Wow man. That was deep." -someone else on top of the man
"I don't wanna get too deep man" -Josh

Upon seeing a mini-vac mounted to a little car being remote controlled- "It's a little dusty over here, could you get that?" - me

"We've got all kinds of blinky shit!" - one campmate bragging about his camp's offerings to me
"Fuck THAT- do you want a whip-it?" - his other campmate

"I get 5 cents a can but only 2 cents a soul- honestly what do you think I should collect first?" -Jesus

"...so I just rocked around with this rocket sticking out of my pocket..."
"Is that a rocket in your pocket or are you just happy to see me?"

"I won't have sex with you until you remember my name." (adamantly) -don't remember

"Are you kickin it into high gear now?"

"Sam and Eliot are here y'know" - Napalm to me, at Temple of Breaks
"Oh yeah- I'll turn on my blinky ring so they can find us!" - me

"I'd love to sleep with you. I mean- not have sex with you, but, you know, I mean, I am sexually attracted to you, but I don't mean that. I mean- I can't promise I wouldn't, y'know, be like-" (makes eyebrow gestures)- "but I don't have to... if you don't want" -guy I met at nexxus
"I know, you just mean you would literally sleep *next* to me"
"yeah" (pause). "I mean, I'm not gonna lie, I have condoms- they're magnums" (starts pulling them out of his pocket)
"Wait, so you're telling me you don't have a cup, or lip balm, or a drink or any water- but you've got condoms?"
"They're magnums- see?"

“I did a drunk drive-by” –sue
“a drunk bike-by” –distinction later made by napalm

(Darth Vader voice) “Do not fear you will be destroyed by this technological device” –a ball that color changed and rolled around all on its own which appeared to have a robot inside
“That ball just let us have it!” – a fellow observer at center camp
“Now I know I’m on another planet”- me

Sunday afternoon- burners could appreciate this-
“You look clean” – campmates to me
“I washed my face”
(round of ooooooohs and ahhhs)
“yeah, with soap”
(more oooohs)
“and a little brush”
(more aahhhs)
(pause)
“were you just kidding about the little brush?” –campmate
“no”

“Bring the heart of Burning man back home with you” –campmate in deep heart-to-heart with other campmate
“Great advice, man!” –me, as I’d given him essentially same advice about 20 minutes prior
“I can see your butt through those pants!” –response

“Wait- You’re not in charge?” – chorus from new friends made by a campmate wearing a captain’s hat when he got up to suddenly leave the playa-go-round

and a repeat I recall from 2006 was heard by someone else in my camp- “What happens at Burning Man…. Stays at Burning Man”

										<div>yay!

I really just need financial assistance. Don't we all, right? but seriously, it's just not in integrity for me to go while owing my ex hundreds and other creditors miscellaneous amounts. I can blow them off but not the ex, all these years in a row. With financial assistance however, it's within integrity.

I got the time off work.

I got the kitty covered even....

so now I just need to get a roommate, all other tunes to digital, CDs, and, um, a roommate. Yes roommate is needed by sept. 1!!!

And... some kind of thing going in my hair. I was just gonna braid my own with yarn, but then thought how I really have always wanted like, pink braids. So maybe I can braid them in, or pink yarn, I dunno..

oh, OH!!! i JUst heard!!!!!!! the dj I want to see more than any other in the world is supposed to be there Friday night at Opulent Temple, Carl Cox !!! and it's their last year and Deep End's last year too! Holy shit how much more aligned can I be?!!!</div>

<div>Yep, I debut for the EOS crew tomorrow. I haven't played there since it was Absinthe! (2 owner/managers ago?)

I'm posting here not because I need heads. Heads will be there. But it's your head I want!!

Vittorio's birthday too. I've been requested to play *something* special for him. (Anything, just as long as it's for him. :)</div>

<div>I know the government's tracking it, I'm not stoked on it but I kind of feel that I'm getting more out of it than they are, especially as a dj.

Also noted: I used to say that tribe works the way myspace wishes it did, now I have to say that facebook works the way all networking sites combined wish they did. It's pretty damn amazing.

I found bunches of people through the super scary automatic-go-in-my-gmail-contacts-and-locate-them function-upon-signup, but I know there's some others probably floating around I didn't get. (Faern????)</div>

Thursday night girl party I'm spinning at Q's (let me know if interested, might be able to get you in free otherwise it's money especially if you a guy)
friday- BBq at a friend's
Saturday- the younger renegade-party-throwers are planning something, and there is pride festival at chase palm park (looks not nearly as cool this year as last year, but worth considering for a second or 2), and my other homey texted "bbq beach, surf and fun on saturday", not sure if there is simply a bbq or a different beach party or what,
saturday night we have......... shenanigans
and sunday is actually the seacliff beach party.

<a href="http://people.tribe.net/djsparkle/blog/d50269c9-2e06-4043-aff4-9a7d1b06f612"> <img class=" picThumb" src="http://images.tribe.net/tribe/upload/photo/79d/bdf/79dbdfd8-a5fc-4a94-aab4-5f774274631e.thumb" width="65" height="48" alt="" />
    </a>
<div>even after 10 years. It would take quite a major something to trade this gig in.

every year since 2005, it has been my pride and privilege to create a space at the conclusion of the solstice parade in Santa Barbara. From 2 to 3 pm, I play some enticing booty-shaking music or other to suck in the congregations amassing at the park after-party. Take the space from zero to dancefloor in one hour.

And I do it, and it is very good. I could relate some nasty analogy I've heard about what it's like to be an opening dj, but I decided years ago that the most difficult and important part of the evening (or longest day of the year, in this case) lies in the hands of the opening dj, and I won't shirk it as a responsibility........... and honor.

Especially not when it's so easy. solstice SB is far and away the best solstice in the world, I can pretty much guarantee that. Our solstice is more jiggier than your solstice!! It helps that I fell in love with the solstice celebration here the year I attended it for the first time, 2003. Regretfully had to miss it in 2004 for my sister's wedding, and the rest is history.

*solstice SB ritual de friends of Efunk* is where I first got woo'd with mimosas. Now, as I was saying on Sunday......... I got the all of us into it.

We’ll be arriving in the evening and set up some entertainment, celebrate fresh air and rekindled possibilities and then crash out.

This will help those participating in the Tree Planting; because you can sleep a little later and we can all carpool to the planting location together while others (artists, campers, etc) enjoy the day in the forest. We’ll come back around 4pm and kick off Saturday strong.

· Do feel comfortable sharing this info with your close friends.

· Due to the season, location and permits, fire performance will not be allowed.

    </a>
<div>so it will be my privilege to get you started properly for the next TWO Sundays in a row!!! Get your presales now for Wanderland May 17-18 as well as Lightning in a Bottle for double the pleasure.

If you can only afford so much, well here's the thing. Wanderland is only $10 presale, 20@ gate. But they don't really want to have someone whip cracking for money at the gate, so get a presale, please, and all will be worthwhile. It is about 90 miles east of L.a. and will be a wonderful outdoor gathering put on by people that know what they're doing, and I would never tell you that if it weren't so.
http://www.motionplussound.com/wanderland/

Lightning in a Bottle is slated a much larger event, and the price shows it, at $140/pop... 150 @ the gate. Much closer to home- my home anyway- pretty much right in Santa Barbara. What a rare treat, and I'm about to explode either way!!!!!

The schedule has been posted. Check it out!</div>

9pm-till afternoon

The principle is simple. We will all put together the best gathering we can. The more presales we get, the more we can provide. To illustrate the whole presale concept, we are building a super-high-tech Wander-O-Meter™, which you can see on our website.

The Wander-O-Meter™ has the ultimate control, do whatever you feel necessary.

$10 presale donations are how we want to do this.
We know this style of gathering works for everyone.

A little bit you should know about
Wanderland currently has 16 volunteers plus crew lined up to work with the Forest Service as part of Green Thumbs Day from morning until mid afternoon. We have room for 4 more volunteers. Click www.motionplussound.com/wanderland/ to sign up for volunteer duty if it’s the kind of thing you have time for.

We currently need 2 more (visualish) artists. If you or someone you know would like to contribute a small to medium scale art installation, please contact me. Since we have the site for the weekend, we can get access to the campground early if needed.

And that’s the deal with Wanderland! Buy your presales, come and join your family at the top of the world. We'll be there waiting for you!

<div>Brought to you by motion+sound and alienunderground

For our third installment, we’re going high up in the mountains, to a forest clearing, 2 hours from downtown LA, up in the clouds.
Nobody’s been able to get into the forest for a very long time, due to the fire danger, but this year, thanks to the rains and to some old-school connections with the Forest Service, we are to able to deliver... Fresh Air! Trees! Green!

Plus, after the jump, you'll find an opportunity to give back to Mother Earth, to do something good for our local forests, and (best yet) to get in for free!

· Confirmed for the gathering:

                     i. 17000 Watt sound system featuring the freshly redesigned 11,000W Wall of Bass

The Location

Seriously, this is an amazing place that hasn't been touched for years. This is not the desert. This is in the mountains about 90 minutes East of Los Angeles. We'll have the site locked down all night, and into the next day. We encourage you to arrive early, and we especially encourage you to stay late. The music will officially end at noon, but it will probably go until dusk, as long as the energy remains.

Volunteer!

And here's the really cool part of this whole thing. As part of our agreement with the Forest Service, we will volunteer our time to help with cleanup, planting, and whatever else they need help with the day before the party. Saturday May 17th is Volunteer Day at the Forest Service, and we have promised them volunteers. All the organizers will be there, the sound people, most of the DJs, and... You!

<div>so much for the sunny beautiful spring vacation/weekend/wedding thing I was looking forward to. My brother texted me on the way to the airport "How's the weather?" It just happened to be perfect, I texted back "a light and breezy 72, slight marine layer".... he texted back "it's snowing here. hope you enjoy"....
oh my god, I thought he's fucking with me........ right.......... please god I hope and pray?????????

He wasn't.

But my mom's family had me in tears today, laughing so hard at their stories and renditions. they are very funny people, they are where I get my sense of humor and laughter. And even resemble 'em a bit.......... took a pic of me next to my mom's high school grad picture today, she thought I looked so much like her. I definitely am her daughter.

Let's see if my cool phone can put that pic up here...............</div>

flying away...

<div>to salt lake city!

I mean, I have to admit, I don't get to fly that often. Once a year if I"m lucky. Now this makes twice within a one year timeframe, BUT ironically enough, I'm looking much more forward to Utah than Milwaukee. I once thought I could not get far enough from the mormons, now I just feel happy to see old familiar faces and places. I'm finally distant from it enough to say yes, Utah is beautiful. (I used to hear people say that and think they were delusional AND blind.) This is all not new, has been the case for awhile, but more so now than ever.

Still, my old favorite thing to do in Utah- see if I can offend some mormons at the drop of a hat- sounds appealing. I told Christopher this morning... "y'know, it's easy there... just wear skimpy clothing (aka regular clothing) and cuss and voila! you're on the side of evil" He says "wear skimpy clothing and cuss? hell I can do that in my sleep"....lol! (god I love his humor)

I must stop procrastinating packing now. I am off tomorrow, will be back late Monday. Set an intention out for me to have a wicked wonderful naughty time! I sure am. Oh and a nice time at the wedding, of course. There will be some family there I haven't seen in over a decade......... wow..</div>

April, Integrity: my foundations for "the season", and my life

<a href="http://people.tribe.net/djsparkle/blog/f128bc44-baec-4de3-987c-9c2902b0dabe"> <img class=" picThumb" src="http://images.tribe.net/tribe/upload/photo/633/f9d/633f9d22-4b74-48ec-b5a7-cbab06ec0bce.thumb" width="40" height="78" alt="" />
    </a>
<div>I can't go to Yuri's night. The prospect stressed me out more than satisfied me, and that is simply defying the whole point.

Moontribe... usually doesn't happen in april, nor usually on a weekend, and a weekend that doesn't hold some other commitment for me. 420 weekend ain't no thang for me since i ain't a fan of the ganj... still, the party will be a long ways away if my deductive logic serves anything. I am currently saying no. Unless someone really excited about moontribe comes around, I need the next few weekends just to get caught up before we head into the insanity that will be May and June 2008, to say nothing of what may follow that.

April 26, some of you will no doubt be enjoying the greatness I expect Coachella will be, once more without me- I would totally have made this my first year, what with Roger Waters performing Dark Side of the Moon!? But alas, a family wedding &amp; commitment beckon and I answer- I will be in the fair state of Utah! Live it up my darlings and get ready for...

May!
May 17- Come thru to Wanderland! where I'll be getting back together with some old school desert partyin' homeys for some kind of foresty gathering, DJing, and preparing for

May 23-26- Lightning in a Bottle!! Where I'll be spinning on Sunday 12:45pm in the Treehouse. See updated flyer above...
This will be very, very good times.

Not a moment too late for

June 7- more desert or forest partying
June 14-yet more outdoor playing and spinning
June 21- Summer Solstice, you know how we do

May 31st might just hold a long-time dream of mine......... BOAT PARTY!! stay tuned....

So yeah, I am potentially booked up 6 straight consecutive weekends.......and I'm talking about actually dropping bass, not just passing out champagne (and hording most of it)....................... and I must prepare!!!!!!
See you soon!!! :D</div>

<div>after a fabulously taxing 2 hour yoga session at yoga soup! My first time there and my first time with this teacher who is apparently favored and revered there. I actually first met this teacher under horrible circumstances when he accidentally hit my roommate's pup driving down our street (I pretty much witnessed the thing and it was totally an accident). My roommate turned out to know him as his yoga teacher and assured me over and over that he was an amazing person- I had my hang-up for awhile... but his yoga did me very well! I think, because when I came home to practice, I felt light and free and pushed myself to really make great mixes, and great they were... wow! I knew I needed some yoga in my life, I think maybe I really, really need some.........</div>

    </a>
<div>I forget the exact name... it'll come to me. I'm thinking of something I heard of recently, a philosophy that nothing is random.... ok before I go on a tangent about that, I will just say that it got me to wondering if I always hear the exact song on the radio that fits my life.
So yeah, got sick of my tapes today and started listening to some radio. Here's the one that spoke to me, so much I had to go out and get the lyrics and blog 'em. They are neat in print too, actually.

Carry On/Questions by Crosby, Stills &amp; Nash.
*******************************************************
One morning I woke up and I knew that you were gone.
A new day, a new way, I knew I should see it along.
Go your way, I'll go mine and carry on.

The sky is clearing and the night has gone out.
The sun, he come, the world is all full of light.
Rejoice, rejoice, we have no choice but to carry on.

The fortunes of fables are able to sing the song.
Now witness the quickness with which we get along.
To sing the blues you've got to live the tunes and carry on.

Carry on, love is coming, love is coming to us all.

Where are you going now my love? Where will you be tomorrow?
Will you bring me happiness? Will you bring me sorrow?
Oh, the questions of a thousand dreams, what you do and what you see,
Lover, can you talk to me?

Girl, when I was on my own, chasing you down,
What was it made you run, trying your best just to get around?
The questions of a thousand dreams, what you do and what you see,
Lover, can you talk to me?</div>
