At 45m below the surface of the ocean, it's easy to start to see things that aren't there, or maybe they are there, but you don't really want to believe what you see. After a depth of about 30m, the elements that makes up the 100% pure, natural, filtered air--the same air we're breathing right now-becomes a narcotic to the human brain. It's the nitrogen, 79% of everyday air, that really tweaks the brain and brings the living creatures to the meaning we want them to have.

This is the first year that I've been in the US for the month of December since 1998. For that matter, this is the first year I've been in a Judeo-Christian country, as each year since 1999 I've been in South East Asia. I must say I'm really missing being away from the insanity that I see all around me this year. Everyone is talking about how crazy people are acting--driving like maniacs, rude, pushy, and all about commerce.

It's official---not that I have any choice in the matter of whether it's official or not---I'm going over the hill and I'm a bit distraught about it. It's one of those crazy moments in life where you realize that the person you feel yourself to be and the person that other's will see upon a simple glance are radically distinct.
