If I did not have to work, it would be all about kids all the time. Kids, friends, family, society, and anything that involves real people is more important to me than any material interest. My other intersts are also about people and first of those would come foreign languages. The languages and the people who speak them fascinate me. Need I say that I love to travel overseas? It has given me a lot of joy and opened a lot of doors for me to speak other languages and I feel very passionately that we Americans could be doing a better job teaching foreign language to adults and kids in our schools. I am all about kids and young people being treated right. School? jobs? dreams? They have me on their side. I live in Oakland California where the schools suck and cheat the young people out of an education. They find their trust betrayed at school too. The students are not really safe. They are not important to the City and the City lets them know it. The schools are treated like an extension of law enforcement and the kids like potential criminals. They are told a lot of bullshit by a lot of hypocrites. Hipocritical bullshit includes D.A.R.E. to keep off drugs and abstain from sex. My other passion is also about people: politics, because I hate bullshit and lies. Always have. I am on the far left / radical green side of things and plan to stay there. I remain unrepentant and unconvinced by the new world order. Same old lies.
