I'm always happy to make new friends here on tribe. But since many of my photos and blogs are personal, and for viewing by friends only, I like to feel that I have some sort of personal connection with people before we become tribe friends. You'll find that I'm very open and approachable, and it should be clear pretty quickly if we hit it off.

However, if your profile has no personal information in it, or if you send a friends request with little or no text, or if it seems clear to me that we have nothing in common, then I am likely to simply ignore your request.

I am also not into people who are trying to build up their friends list for networking or marketing purposes, or because they feel compelled to have hundreds of friends.

Finally, if we've never had some nice letters back and forth and gotten to know each other a bit, or I've never met you in real life, and if you never comment on my blogs or pictures, and didn't respond to my last letter... after some time, I may just quietly 'unfriend' you. Nothing personal, but I only want friends that have the time or interest in communicating with me.

easily excited about small and big things... cooking... exaggerating for effect... listening... switching points of view mid-sentence... cooking... putting myself in another's place... arguing fiercely about strange stuff i think is important... picking up corks and washing glasses during your party... getting fixated on some relatively obscure topic for months at a time... cooking... trusting my own ideas... getting bored by content-free conversation... in my own world... gradually changing...
