about me
I am a member of the Traverse City chapter of PURE, under the loving guidance of Amira Hamzar. I'm also a member of the troupe Dancers of the Rising Phoenix. I've been belly dancing since May of 2006 and was introduced to ATS/Tribal Fusion by Amira...and what can I say? I'm addicted.
Throughout my life I have studied many different types of dance, ranging from ballet to hip-hop. I'm also a classically trained vocalist and I've studied with several different teachers since the age of 9. My good friend Kat Marscelle and I have turned ourselves into a duo known as Raks Incendia. We are a sub-group of The Dancers of the Rising Phoenix. Our specialty is Tribal Fusion with a dramatic flare...muwahaha! I am married to a South-African winemaker and we own a townhouse on the east side of Traverse City...we live there with our three cats. Kind of funny: he's Mr. Carnivore and I'm a vegetarian. I am an actress, a singer, a dancer, a writer, a voracious reader, a seamstress, a jewelry maker, a psychic, a fabulous cook and an animal lover. I am in spiritual and psychic training under reknowned psychic Ivy McTaggart, and at some point I will be getting my degree to become a Holistic Health Practitioner, Reiki Healer and Acupuncturist. My mundane occupation is a legal receptionist/secretary....yeah.

Update on ruffles

I just thought was would update you on my quest for ruffles....we lucked out and my partner found--ON SALE--ruffled chiffon fabric....I cut the legs off a pair of old yoga pants....et voila! For hers, she sewed the fabric into a tube-like shape.....

We've at last found a third song for our Demented Dolls series...very slinky and fun. We are currently waiting for a friend of mine to edit it for us...it's just a tad long and has a little too much repetition. We're already in about 1 minute 15 seconds, I think, maybe a little more. With the edits, the song should be about...3:30, or so. If all goes as planned. We'll be debuting May 10th at World Belly Dance Day!

So, I was just noticing that there are an awful lot of places that specialize in goodies for dogs....which is fine, because I adore dogs...but it's very difficult to find really cool stuff for kitties without paying a small fortune! It's simply not fair, I tell you! My kitties need specialty goodies, too! *pouts* Well, I'm off to try and finish the song with Nuri tonight... Love and shimmies, Domhnulla 
Well....good news. We have 1/2 of our very first song choreographed! A little over one minute! Yay!
