First italian burning weekend - 10/12 october (1 hour north of Rome)

Did you not recover yet from post playa depression? Do you miss playa hugs from random burners? Do you feel sad of having lost BM this year? Book your low cost flight ticket now and join italian burners on friday october 10th till sunday 12th for a burning weekend played around the 10 principles mixed with italian hosting culture! (yes we are talking about food and wine and the rituals that our culture has developped over two thousand years) Location is a wild italian country house 1 hour north of Rome with a large kitchen and a huge fireplace in the cozy living room camping space will be arranged bring your tent your furry coats and your love! We'll provide accomodation in Rome through couchsurfing.com for Thursday night and Sunday night if needed (and of course www.couchsurfing.com/orseolo will be the base of the operations in Rome) Talking about the agenda it is quite open we can plan and decide whatever we like (remember you are not a spectator eh eh) we will try to build a man and burn it of course! We'll have a sound system and probably some vj facilities but this is not a party so we are building a number of activities that through the 10 principles. Will drive you towards a celebration of the positive side of italian culture! PARTICIPATE We need artists, dj's, cooks, dish washers, carpenters, engineers but most of anything we need burners at the moment we just need your ideas! Close to the event we will need your hands and on the "playa" we will need your passion! COSTS We are working on the evaluation of the total costs of the event these will include camping accomodation, food and all the drinks for the 3 days we are trying to keep it cheap around 25 euros per day per person(assuming 10 euros for general expenses and 15 euros for food and drinks) Let us know waht you think! It is a week already that I am stuck in my bed, last Tuesday a car hit me on my scooter. Luckily I don't have any serious wound but my left leg is recovering very slowly and I need to start my Burning Man preparation as soon as I can. I have a wonderful friend who has offered me a bike but she is not sure if she can bring it and her spare bike is not so good... so I am asking to all you my friends if anyone has a spare bike or knows someone that has a spare bike for me. I can even pay for it but I rather not buy one because I don't know where to put it after Burning Man. Thank you anyway and see you very soon in the playa! :)

I am still planning my second trip in US and in Black Rock City with a huge quantity of messages that are waiting for my reply, an insane social life (in a good way :)) and my mind still Nowhere. Anyway it seems that this Year I will camp with the Conexus Radiance Factory: http://www.conexusvillage.org/ Now that I know how works the magic of the playa I am sure that I will meet many of my friends randomly during my playa time...!!! :) Anyway if you wanna try to find me I will volunteer on Monday 4 - 6 pm in the Regional Network Center with Matteo. I will try to visit the CouchSurfing camp for the meeting on Monday at 7pm. I will try to be at the Euroburners meeting on the Quixote Cabaret & Club and we will have our camp party on Wednesday. Let me know your camps and I will try a visit as well! :)

After a wonderful and crazy party to celebrate the first anniversary of my 29th birthday (:P) like I haven't seen in Italy since ever I am having a totally busy week preparing everything to go Nowhere! The No Chance Saloon will be my home in the desert of Spain for a week and I can't wait to see again all my wonderful Euroburners!!! In the meantime I finally got my plane tickets for Unite States! I am flying in San Francisco the 20th of August to have some days before Burning Man preparing and packing everything and I am going back the 14th of September. After Burning Man I will probably travel around California. I must still decie where I will camp at Burning Man but let's keep in contact with all of you my American friends to see if we can meet when I am in the States! :) Cheers!

Hello everybody! We are pleased to announce the first meeting of the Italian Burning Man Community which will be held in Rome at the bar at Vicolo del Cinque, 5 on Saturday 10th of May at about 8pm. It will be a night of madness and fun but mostly the first opportunity to assemble and activate the Italian community. During the evening people interested in go to Burning Man and curious to understand how it works will hear stories and advice from the people who have already been there. You can get information about theme camps- what they are and what they offer; how to survive a week in the desert while leaving no trace; what moop is and why it should be avoided; why Burning Man is not (only) about music and crazy fun; how to find a small tast of Burning Man in Spain in July and much more! Free buffet In seeking to recreate the spirit of giving of Burning Man we are planning a free buffet. We invite everyone to bring something to eat to add to the buffet. Photo Exhibition We will try to show and/or print some photos of Burning Man to remember the special moments and show what happens in Black Rock City to those who have never been, we are looking for high-resolution photos to display and we hope that you will send us your best shots. House moving

It has been a very stressfull week. In just a week I found a new roomate for my old hous (that I 've loved, but now it's time to change also becaus many roomates are leaving), a new room in a new house (a little outside the city but veeery nice and in a very good neighbour), a huge news from my best friend that makes me happy everytime that I am sad(more info coming soon) and I am planning all my weekend from now to June... uff! Hopefully I will be able to host people again in a month or two but not more then one or two each month I think. That sucks but Florence is too expensive to get an appartment just for me. Also in May we are going to have the first night of the Burning Man community in Italy, we would like to get in contact the veteran burners wtih the newbies and share some good info, stories and advices! Now is coming a weekend of house moving, at least tonight I have a Green Party for Karla's return and I will be soooo green! :)

I just bought two tickets from two different and cheap Airline companies for a very quick weekend in London. It's close to the birthday of a friend and we decided together that this is a good gift... for both! :) I'll arrive the night of Friday and will leave Sunday afternoon so not much time but enough for some fun, be prepared crazy Londoners because I am coming again for a quick visit the first weekend of April! Yah! :) P.s. Josh maybe it's the only chance to see each others before Nowhere so let me know if I must prepare/do/think anything for the Saloon!

The 2008 Burning Man tikcets are out today January 16th at 10am (Pacific Standard Time). http://tickets.burningman.com/ This Year no ticket sales at the event gate so get your ticket before! And, like Nurse worte last Year in many places, please buy the highest price ticket you can afford and pass on the discount to someone who really needs it! :) Cheers!

Can you imagine to dance under fireworks in front of the Coliseum? It is a week that I am back from London and I am still decompressing from the wonderful Decompression, maybe it is also that I had a terrible work week and a weekend with some very bad news? Uff... The cold is suddenly arrived in Italy and I am still thinking about my future, trying to organize my life for the next Year, dreaming another place very far... it is not easy do decide what to do. In the meantime I have finished the upload of my pictures.
