The Noble Eight-Fold Path is the path of living in awareness. Mindfulness is the foundation. By practicing mindfulness, you can develop concentration, which enables you to attain understanding. Thanks to right (or correct) concentration, you realize a greater awareness as well as thoughts, speech, action, even livelihood and effort. The understanding which develops can liberate you from every shackle of suffering and allow one to evolve into a state of true peace and joy.

I am somehow going to coordinate 30,000 pieces of medical equipment to go into this new medical center, by it's completion in 2010. WTF? No, I can't wrap my mind around that number... but I'm excited and grateful to have landed this.

I love my family and I adore my friends... and I'd like to think I'm a great person to know. I'm always there for my friends, lending support, advice and a shoulder to cry on at the drop of a hat... supporting those that mean the world to me is important and I can't imagine them not being in my life. I believe myself to be an old soul, as I have deja vu often and contemplate having had many other incarnations prior to this one. Almost everyone II'm close with, I feel I've known before and that we are in each others lives for specific reasons... I'm a very spiritual and intuitive person, although I wouldn't say I'm religious. I believe in an all inclusive belief system that embodies parts of all religions and ways... I believe in something much greater than we can imagine... something that I can't even wrap my mind around at times. Our universe and existence never cease to amaze and delight me. We are lucky to be here, even amidst all the darkness in our world at this time.
Dreams are huge in my life... not that I sleep my life away just to be able to dream, but I find them fascinating and love the symbolism and acurateness of what my dreams are trying to tell me... my subconscious mind is a mystery unfolding, one dream at a time... needless to say, I love dreaming. I am grateful for my health and the health of those I love. The last year has really helped put things into perspective for me and I have really begun to understand how important it is to be in the moment and be present to the here and now... it's all we've got. I am a creative spirit, especially with photography and graphic design. I have even attempted an art installation at Burning Man and plan on doing so again. I have also self-published a book with burner musings, imagery and experiences, with the sole intent of gifting it back to the burner community... was quite the hit back in '03. While I am still working in Healthcare, I have begun my own business to fulfill my lifelong passion of photography.
