When are the three like two.

The triple goddesses are present in various traditions. Especially Greek and Gaelic. They are sometimes present only as two. I am speculating that the third is there, though invisible. She is the transition between the two. i.e. how the Maiden makes the transformation to the Mother and how the Mother transforms to the Crone. This third/missing aspect is an active process occuring.
