War Sucks!

Fight for freedom? The last time I checked, I am no longer allowed to escort friends or family through the airport terminal. I can't enjoy a meal or drink at the airport restaurant or bar with my departing friend or family member. I can't sit and watch their plane take off from the terminal window. These are not small things, but a sign of things to come---and they are not good things. They talk of tightened borders, new IDs, mandatory passports, body scans, more gun-toting security---all supressive things. If we are fighting for freedom, shouldn't we start to get more of it and not less of it? There is an incongruity here--do you see it?

We don't need a war to free us, we are born free. What we need is to stop supporting suppressive leadership.
What we need is for people to stop, and think. We need courage to do the right thing.
We don't need more oil, what we need is more fuel efficent transportation and alternative energy.
We don't need to fight terrorists, what we need is to stop labeling people "terrorists" when they don't agree with us.

Don't let someone tell you that "things have to get worse before they get better," that makes no sense. If something is a good solution, you
should see results promptly. If something is taking forever-and-a-day, then it's probably time to start looking for other answers or solutions to a problem. That seems logical, doesn't it?

If tyranny exists out there, it is because it has been allowed to exist, and it is up to the people under it's rule to do something about it. We should really think twice before sticking our nose into civil wars of other nations.

Ahhh!!!! I agree so much with everything you say! I get so tired of people saying there is nothing we can do. That the control is in the hands of our politicians. I want to smack people in the face sometimes, look at them and say, "This is America! Fight for your freedom and get some stuff done. There are others that believe in what you want. Let's make it happen!"

People just want things to be done for them. They don't want to have to think and the ideals that people consider "important" these days are not nearly as important as health, family, peace, and unity. People forget that TV is not reality no matter how many "Reality TV Shows" there are.

Let's start a revolution!
