Dub Mission is proud to present the debut of DOUBLEBASS, an exciting new project featuring the amazing talents of YOSSI FINE and DUB GABRIEL. With this "live-band-meets-soundsystem," both members blur the lines between producer, musician, soundsystem and electronic technician, presenting a night of exceptionally heavy dub, live on the Dub Mission stage. Together YOSSI and DUB GABRIEL they have worked with the likes of David Bowie, George Clinton, Public Enemy, Lou Reed, Me' Shell Ndege Ocello and many many others. Come experience these sound shamans live!
After years of spending time behind the mixing board, bassist/producer YOSSI FINE is coming back to the front of the stage as a BASS MC, using a loop station and a whole lot of bass to create a one-man-sound system, creating bass lines and beats on the spot, exploring "how low can u go" and "how deep can it get." As bassist, Yossi has worked with David Bowie, Turbulance , Me' Shell Ndege Ocello, Lou Reed, and the Gil Evans Orchestra. Fusing the sounds of Africa, Jamaica, the new World and the Mideast, his production credits include his band Ex-Centric Sound System as well as Antibalas, Karsh Kale , Hadag Nahash, Hassan Hakmoun, and Hamsa Lila. In 2006, he produced and released Ex-Centric Sound System's Afro Riddim Sessions Vol 1, featuring Jamaican artists Anthony B., Chezedek, Prezedent Brown, and many more. Yossi's recent CD, Live In Jerusalem, was released in September. For more information: www.myspace.com/excentricsoundsystem or www.youtube.com/watch

ABOUT RAIZ FROM HIS OWN WORDS!
was born in Napoli, Mediterranean Sea. I've been singing since I was a child. I'm totally into mediterranean melody AND reggae/dub. From 1992 to 2002 I've been the lead vocalist for Almamegretta, italian ethnodub/electronica collective - we recorded 7 albums for Sony-BMG (Anima Migrante 1992, Sanacore 1995, Indubb 1996, Lingo 1997, 4/4 2000, Imaginaria 2001 and Venite! Venite! 2002). In 2002 I started my solo career. Since then, I've cut "WOP" (Universal 2004) and "Uno" out now on Universal. I have also recorded two albums with Eraldo Bernocchi/Bill Laswell project Ashes: "Corpus" (CNI 1996) and "Unisono" (Edel Italy 2006). I've collaborated with Venice - based combo "Laboratorio Novamusica" in the recording of the album "Alphabet Music" (Galatina Music 2003), a mix of contemporary and sacred music. I like reading, writing, studying languages, acting (from 2001 to 2005 I've been touring with Cantieri Teatrali Koreja as an actor in their piece "Brecht's Dance" - original music by Kurt Weill revisited by myself and Pier Paolo Polcari; I'll be Moreno in Ago Panini's next film "Aspettando il Sole" - out on 2008) and, of course, singing. I've been collaborating with many artists, such as Massive Attack, Leftfield, Pino Daniele, Adrian Sherwood, Gaudi, Eraldo Bernocchi, Bill Laswell, Stewart Copeland, Teresa De Sio, Luigi Cinque, Zion
