the portal openned
yesterday spent the day in a portal space. one of my fellow programmers (ex actually his last show was this week) said he didn't feel like he was in astoria anymore. he wasn't. the catch the beat 2 festival was going on and a portal had openned up and a good portion of olympia had stepped through to transform the astoria yacht club (more pretentious sounding than it is) into an olympia jam session with some help from ptown.

the interconnectivity just dosen't quit. last night i went out to the local hipster bar (voodoo room) and caught some live music. a woman from ptown named ne've (neveeverafter.com) whose first songs backed up by a sampler reminded me of a cross between this mortal coil and thievery corporation with elizabeth frasier or lisa gerrard doing sultry jazz vocals. and then she pulled out her flying v guitar; although she played it nothing like ace frehley.
