I an NOT leaving tribe, at least not at the moment. Because I've made some very good friends here, and I don't know if any of them (you) are available on Google+.
I will NOT be joining Facebook. Ever. Won't do it.
I'm doing Google+ so that at least some of the people who won't shut up about how I have to join Facebook can at least see me on Google+. I also like the idea of managing who can what different things I say. That will help me with "damage control". Be... read more
If I were on Facebook, I probably would have posted this in the morning, to field all kids of comments all day. Whatever. Comments are welcome, but entirely not necessary on this one. Just have some thoughts I need to get out of my head.Tue, January 25, 2011 - 1:56 PM permalink - 4 comments
10 years ago today, my husband had a colon resection. They removed 12 inches of his colon, along with something like 14 lymph nodes, and the cancerous tumor inside it. 10 years ago this very minute, he was out of surgery and struggling against the pain, an... read more
I'm a huge Indianapolis Colts fan. It runs much deeper than Peyton Manning, as I was a fan before I knew who Peyton Manning was.Mon, January 18, 2010 - 11:36 AM permalink - 0 comments
Anyway… winning over the Baltimore Ravens, for me, was never a question. Winning over the San Diego Chargers was a question that will not come to pass.
COLTS ARE GOING TO THE SUPER BOWL!
There's no doubt in my mind the Colts will defeat the Jets. They're a good team, but they're overall too young and too inexperienced, especially on offense, to stop the *re... read more

I was reading the webcomic Player Vs. Player, (www.pvponline.com) as I am wont to do at this time on a Friday afternoon, despite my bosses not thinking it's the best use of my time. The artist (Scott Kurz) posted a special comic and blog entry in remembrance of his beloved basset hound, who died. (yesterday or this morning)
I've never met Scott Kurz. I've never met Kirby (the dog). But yet t... read more
Sometimes when I celebrate my birthday, I take a few moments to look at the lives of my parents at my current age. It certainly lends perspective to many things when I do…Thu, February 12, 2009 - 6:51 AM permalink - 2 comments
At this age: both of my parents had already buried their fathers. Helps me to appreciate that mine's still around.
Both of my parents had mouths full of crowns. Not surprising that I need one, then, and helps me appreciate that at least I made it this age before needing one.

Re: Week 6 (in Weight Loss for Belly Dancers) I weighed myself on Saturday and found out I've lost 4 pounds since my last weigh-in.
No idea how, what with all the girl scout cookies about… but I'll take it anyway.

Re: Week 5 (in Weight Loss for Belly Dancers) To be honest, I don't really track anything.
I don't track what I eat, I don't track what I weigh… I sort of track my exercise, but not really. More of a "did I?"
On the other hand, I don't know if I would say it's "working" for me. It's obvio... read more

Re: Prejudice Foods (in Healthy Food for Lazy People) Burritos!
Beans are pretty good for you. Cheese can be OK. Salsa, sauce, flavoring can also be healthy if you do it right.
You technically don't need meat, because beans provide protein.
You could make your own tortillas in order to ensure ... read more

Re: Week 4 (in Weight Loss for Belly Dancers) I haven't checked for a couple of weeks. I don't put that much importance on the weight if other things are working – and I don't check in if I know I'm off base.
If you weigh yourself everyday, what significance is there in a weigh-in?
I woul... read more
