So today I find out I didn't lose my job. Great, except that I had no idea there were jobs being lost here to begin with.

There's the rug – under your feet. NOW there's the rug – over there across the room.

I'm comforted but traumatized. The LAST time I had a conversation with my husband where I said, "I don't think I'll be losing my job this week," I actually DID lose my job that week. And yet, I said it again. While I didn't lose my job, the mere fact jobs were being lost near me has me incredibly rattled.

Am I so bad at reading the environment that I'm in? I'm blond, but I didn't think I was THAT blond.

Well, no matter what, I REALLY need to stop saying "I don't think I'll be losing my job this week…"
