Housemate Needed in the Mission!

<div>Hey everyone,

One of my housemates is moving out and we need a replacement! The room is $500 and is kind of small, but is located in the Mission. We are on 22nd and San Jose (which is pretty much Valencia). It's a cute little apartment with a nice kitchen and cozy living room space (that's kind of shared with the kitchen space).

The other two roommates are myself and Tim. We are both very fun, chill, open, honest and loving people. We are looking for no drama, no big time tv watchers, and people who are playful and willing to communicate with the people they are living with.

If you or anyone you know is looking for a place starting February 1st, please pass this on to them and contact me ASAP! We can chat and share more details.

Thanks!

    </a>
										<div>i've put up my tribute to burning man picture! me in 2006 out there! i'll be missing it again this year (same as last) but heading to ashland, or instead. camping out in some green land near some water and checking out a potential new home! we're staying in a teepee with a fire pit outside and will likely burn our own little man to be celebrating with y'all!

so if you're going out to la playa this year, have a GREAT burn! and if you're choosing to do something else this year (like many people i know are!), have a GREAT time doing that!

see on the other side of this week!

two cats need a good home...

    </a>
										<div>I am posting this for my brother who lives up by Sacramento. He is moving to Texas and has a new 6 mos. old and he and his wife can't handle two cats as well as the baby and moving and setting up a new home (especially since they'll be in an apartment for the first few months).

The two cats are sisters. They are 6 years old and very sweet and playful cats. They have had their front paws de-clawed. They are up to date on all their shots.

My brother has been searching where he was living before for a while now and has not found them a good home and is arriving in SF tomorrow (Thursday) with them and needs to give them away.

They have to go together. They have to be indoor cats. Those are the two conditions. We just want them to have a good home. We're starting to be afraid that they will be put down if we can't find them a home by tomorrow and we have to give them to somewhere that can't find them a place soon enough.

So if you are interested or know anyone who is and can give these two a nice, happy home, please contact me via message and I will pass on his number so you can contact him.

Thanks so much!</div>

    </a>
										<div>We are heading right now into Washington DC. Freshly showered at a truck stop…hurray! Last night was our show in New York and it went pretty well. We had kind of a quiet crowd and the lights were not that great as far as focus and all of that. But it worked out well in the end. The tech guy there was cool and it good having someone cool to chat with during the reception – which I have become great at hiding from.
New York was amazing! I love it there. Not enough to move there, but enough to go back many times and wander around. The subway system rocks and everyone was super nice. Lots happening there always. I had a great time.

It was nice to have a little break from the touring and working. It’s really a lot more than I imagined in certain ways. But it’s also a lot of fun still. Although I am ready to come home too. We went through Central Park and I’ve been through soho and a little of the village and well as much of new York as I could. Great place!

David came in on Saturday and we all went out to yet another fancy dinner. Delicious. I’m getting spoiled rotten on this trip here! It’s crazy! Sunday we went and saw The Lion King. Fucking spectacular. That’s all I can say. I was blown away. The production was just spectacular! Followed by a performance by Mike Daisey…which was funny, but I was so sleepy, I ended up being one of the horrible audience members that fall asleep.

Great time in New York overall and the tour is still going well. We are back on the road today and will soon be schmoozing with members of congress. Should be interesting…

    </a>
										<div>We hit new york yesterday afternoon. This is my first time here. It's a crazy amazing place! I'm staying at a hotel on Broadway. Right on Broadway and 55th. Down the street are all the big broadway theaters (cool!!) and a few blocks away is central park and times square. It's all actually pretty awesome!

Walked through Central Park yesterday and it is freaking amazing!! GG Park pales in comparison. It's HUGE and beautiful and there are tons of people everywhere and SO much happening there. I was blown away. I love this park! And the part of the city I'm in is simply great!

I'm excited to be here! And to not have to actually work until Monday. A break is nice. And it was lovely to have a hotel room...all alone last night. The bus is super fun and wonderful, but it's also nice to not be around everyone else in a tiny space constantly.

David flies in later today and I'll be meeting up with him! Yay!

And a broadway musical tomorrow!

Today, I'm off to shower (not in a truck stop!) and meet up with some others from our group and hit downtown.</div>

    </a>
										<div>Wow, this is only day three on the bus, but it already feels like a very long time! It's been interesting...

Yesterday we had our first shower at a truck stop. It was an interesting experience. Kind of fun. Then we headed in to Kansas City, MO. We got to the theater and set everything up. I had a very cute tech guy helping me who was also extremely experienced (even at 25) and really nice and helpful. It went together smoothly and by 4:00 we were ready for some food. We wandered around (on foot) and long story short, we walked one way and then another and eventually found something and by 6:00 we scarfed food down before changing into our clothes for the evening. The show went well...the lights looked good and Mark did well.

After, we went to dinner....and WOW. We ate at this super fancy restaurant that stayed open for our group. By the end of the evening I had eaten smoked salmon salad, wild boar sausage, crab cakes, giant prawns and beef ternderloin pizza. We also had a 1989 bottle of red wine...some super fancy stuff. All of this, of course for me, was free. It was phenomenal food!! Simply delicious.

The bus came and picked us up at the restaurant and Mark pulled out his guitar and harmonica and there was some good music being played and songs being sung. After everyone was in bed, I went up front with Jim and smoked a cigarette as the lightening in the sky got brighter and brighter. More frequent. Until it was dumping buckets of rain and there were lighting bolts streaming across the sky. We bucked up as Jim said this was tornado weather.

I sat up front until about 3:30 this morning watching the lightening and talking with Jim. He's been hired by some guys the last three years to go to burning man. So the bus I'm on has been out to burning man the last three years. He likes it a lot and we chatted a bunch about the experience and how cool it is that he gets paid to go....they buy his ticket and food and everything and pay him for his services on top of that. Jim's a cool guy.

Everyone on the bus is getting along great. There's been a few small tension-filled moments here and there, but they've been pretty minimal.

So now after our morning truck/shower stop, we are heading to Chicago. Just about entering it soon already as I type. After the show tonight, we leave for New York. We should be there by tomorrow afternoon and we'll then have the rest of Friday and all day Saturday and Sunday to just relax and do whatever we want to do in New York. Off to the Lion King with me and David.

I'm looking forward to sleeping in a bed. The little bunks are actually pretty comfy, but they are very small...not for the claustrophobic for sure!

Alrighty...off to watch us pulling into Chicago....

I can't believe it's not even been a week yet! Wow!</div>

Houston to Austin

    </a>
										<div>I'm sitting on my tour bus on the way to Austin. It's day three. The Houston stop went very well and very smoothly. With one minor technical issue at the beginning of the show, it went great.

There's a lot of work to do with the set up and break down of the show. The director has added this whole soil element to the tour and quite frankly it's a huge pain in the ass. It's turned into a huge ordeal that I don't want anything to do with, but since he's the director, I don't have much of a choice. That's probably the most frustrating of the whole thing.

The winery people on the tour are AWESOME! Really great people. It's nice to work with people who actually help with things. And they're goofy and fun and playful. I love it.

The first two nights I spent in a fancy little hotel. But from here on out, I'm on the bus. Showering at truck stops and sleeping in this super tiny bunk. Oh what fun it shall be.

But it is great so far! More updates soon......</div>

It'll be a short tour...about two weeks or so. Going to about five or six cities. I can hardly believe it. We go this summer. So now I get to start all the preparations! I'm going as the stage manager/tech person. And will hopefully be the designer of the show too.

Before that, I'm going to Memphis with a show in March! Whoo hoo...lots of traveling for my work this year already! Very exciting.

    </a>
										<div>absolute craziness. i've never really been around a lot of babies in my life. and none that i've spent much time with that have been related to me. my brother has a daughter now. and i just got back from the hospital (again) and it was just brian and i (tracy was sleeping) and isabelle. I got to hold her and sit with her (outside of all of the craziness of all of the families) and it was one of the most beautiful amazing experiences. i am utterly speechless at this whole thing. to see such a beautiful brand new being is mind blowing. so tiny, this mini person. as she scrinched her face and yawned and opened her little eyes, it was like no other experience. i'm already making plans to drive up next week and stay a night or two with them and the baby! yay! i love her already...she is a little amazing miracle. how insane that we can create little beings like that. she's so tiny!! only 4.5lbs. it's nuts! and she's the most beautiful baby i've ever seen! really! i'm in love! oh my goodness!!! yay!!!! :) :) i never imagined in a million years i would love being around a baby so much...so amazing to watch her brand new opening one eye and glancing around like, "what in the hell?!". her life is brand new...just beginning...this round...such a journey she's about to make and this is the very first day of it...her very first few hours!! how amazing is that?! what a beautiful reminder of what we are and what we come from and where we all begin. i'm blown away right now....

    </a>
										<div>Yay! We leave on Wednesday (sui-yobi) for Nihon! I'm so excited. It seems so surreal right now that we are actually leaving. We leave here on Wednesday at 12:30 in the afternoon (gogo juni-ji sanju) and get to Japan at 4:30 in the afternoon on Thursday. (gogo yon-ji) What a trip...the time difference is about 14 hours. But it's non-stop so with the flight time we lose over 24 hours in travel. On the way home, we leave there at 3 something in the afternoon on a Wednesday and get back the same day at 9:30 am. Weird...living the same day over again!

I've been practicing my Japanese, but even still, I have a feeling I'm going to be completely confused which is kind of exciting in itself.

Today was my last day of work and I'm officially on vacation which is an amazing feeling. I've been sewing like crazy and have made myself some neat stuff for the trip. But now I've forced myself to just sit still and enjoy the fact that I don't have to be doing anything right now but sitting here. It's lovely.

I'll be back in a couple of weeks with some neat pictures and fun stories to share!

Till then......

And the picture by the way is of a cable car we'll be taking up the side of Koyasan. :) Yay........</div>

<a href="http://people.tribe.net/duckietime/blog/1c64deea-de6f-4557-adf5-17a62994fcc5">  						          <img class=" picThumb" src="http://images.tribe.net/tribe/upload/photo/c92/a8d/c92a8d1a-d823-42df-aa94-2dc077d4c168.thumb" width="52" height="78" alt="" />
    </a>
										<div>Well, sort of...

I have my name on my first poster for my work! It's really exciting. On the poster of well known local comedian (and may I add amazing, funny, kick-ass comedian at that!) that will be plastered all over the city. He put my name on the poster as technical direction. It's neat! And it's a cool poster!

I have a lot of really neat stuff going on for my work lately. I'm leaving tomorrow to go to Memphis to see the show that I designed there (remotely). When I get back from Japan, I'm designing and running a show in Stanford for another performer and right before that I might be following another performer to another theater.

This has been happeneing more and more lately. And people wanting me to design their lights. I have shows to design lined up for the next few months! It feels so neat!

I sort of fell into this world and still not being sure of exactly where it I want to go, only knowing that I love theater and being backstage, I am watching the Universe take me on lots of little turns and watching this whole thing unfold before me having no idea where it's going. It's great! I LOVE IT! And I'm so beyond grateful for it!

Even more grateful is that I love my work and am excited for the things that it's doing! Hurray!

Just excitement building with it. I'm excited about Memphis and the fact that I'm pretty much officially on vacation. No more work until next week and that will not be shows, just little workie bits here and there and then, Japan for two weeks! Yay! Well deserved vacation...I"ve been waiting a while for it.

Thanks for reading!</div>

    </a>
										<div>I'm so excited, I can hardly stand it! I'm heading off to Japan for two weeks in June. It's such a nice surprising opportunity that came to me - I'm blown away. I feel like I'm ready to burst with the excitement of it!

We are flying into Osaka and staying there for a few days. Exploring the area there. And then we are taking an overnight ferry to Beppu, a little town on the northern tip of the southern island of Kyushu. Beppu is a little town covered with natural hot springs (onsen). There are thousands of them there and because of it, there are little geysers of steam that rise up and cover the city. We will be there for the rest of the trip eating food and relaxing in the onsen.

I've taken an extra job part time (aside from my well over full time theater work...whew!) to raise the money for the trip. And it's going very smoothly!! I've already saved the money for the plane ticket, which is being purchased tomorrow! The extra work and bit more tiredness is well worth it!

I'm also teaching myself Japanese! Hai! I'm learning fairly quickly and it's so great to be learning a new language and reading a lot on a new place I've never been. One of the people I'm going with is Japanese so it will make it a bit easier because he speaks the language and knows his way around. But I still want to learn. Another friend of mine also spent some time in Japan and is helping to teach me Japanese as well...I love it! I already know how to count up to tens of thousands! Whooo....ikurdadeka? yon sen san hyaku nana ju ni. Well hopefully not that much!

Just bursting with excitment and wanted to share! I'm especially excited to be getting out of the country again since I've only ever been out once (to Amsterdam) and also to be going away on a vacation where I'm just relaxing.

Whoooooo....

    </a>
										<div>Yay!! I can't believe how amazing this is!! I am sitting in my new room! Spending my first night here on the floor. I am so excited to be here. We searched for only about a month...if that. And the very first place we looked at, located right around the corner from my work, in the heart of the Mission, we got! Within one week, here I sit. I am blown away.

It's been such a long and challenging year for me. Being in "transition" at my mom's house. Learning patience and wondering how long it would take to get out. Sitting and intending a new home for myself. And I reached my lowest in the challenge, struggling daily to be there and trying so very hard to find the lesson in the experience. Working on choosing my peace and happiness. It felt far away. I chose to be miserable.

The last couple of months had started getting a little easier. I knew I had to accept and appreciate where I was in order to move forward. I forced myself to cook there. I made myself stay home more. I interacted and was patient. And like that, when I was least expecting to find anything looking at the prices and places that were being offered, this dropped right in our laps. Just like that. In fact, I was considering not taking it given the odd situation that was taking place. But our new landlord kept pushing and pushing it until we were being handed this place on a silver platter. And we took it. I can't believe it!

This is more than I even dreamed I would find here for the price! It's so lovely! I feel overwhelmed! But, yay! In a great way! A new step forward. The new change I've been feeling and waiting for. I feel as if I can let go of some of the past I've been holding onto with some vague hope that it would return. This now says, it is not coming back and that is great. It is just as perfect and amazing to move forward into the next phase of my experience here.

I have a new home! I get to create a new home with two awesome people. From scratch! :)

Yay!!!!!!!!!</div>

    </a>
										<div>1 week to go! And off to playa I go. I can hardly wait! A wonderful adventure. I've never felt so prepared and so excited about going before.

This will be my fourth year. I've made a whole new wardrobe...clothes that actually fit me. The last three years I had clothes that felt baggy and I felt frumpy. I've been loving my body and myself recently and can see all of the beautifulness that I am! And I've made wonderful clothes to accentuate it! :) Yay!

I'm camping with beautiful amazing people. My family! Coming together for a week in the desert to play and share and learn and grow! Together! And new people I've never been with before. Lovely, bright, shining beings!

I've organized a camp this year...crazy! Not a theme camp, but we will have lots going on. And it's going to be amazing! Close to other friends out there (Brandi! Yay!! Another strong beautiful woman!). I'm almost finished with all of my projects. Only a few more alterations and to decorate my bike! I'm ready to go!

Thinking about how different every year is and wondering what I'll learn this year. Knowing that I've changed so very much in the last year. My entire life is different! Crazy! But I love it! Every minute of it! I am so blessed with all of the people and experiences and opportunities I am having. And for the first year, BM has flowed so easily. Financially and the way the camp has come together....the way everyone has come together. Things are simply flowing. I'm meant to be out there...well every year obviously or I wouldn't have made it...but I simply can't describe how much more smoothly this has come together this year. Everything so perfect!

Just sitting here beyond excited.....wanted to share!

Super yay! :)</div>

    </a>
										<div>...tucked deep into the Mendocino woods. It's Periwinkle - the house in which I sit.

For four days, how am I so blessed to be here mostly alone in the forest. A few characters to interact with pass through during my stay. But for the majority of the time, it is just me. And a few loveable, playful dogs, two cute, cuddly kitties and a couple of skiddish albino bunnies.

I love it! Nothing to do, no where to be - all thoughts released and I am here, now.

Whew! How long has it been since I've been alone like this? Wait, have I ever been alone like this?

Almost immediately upon my arrival, after a short romp in the trees, I wanted to sleep. I've missed sleep lately. The last month has been extremely hard for me to sleep. So many new things happening and adventures coming, my mind has been racing. Breathing and focusing hasn't helped. But here, I have slept! A lot! I have only been present here. And I've fallen right asleep at night and at least once during the day. Napping is lovely! I haven't felt this rested in months!

I have no internet, no phone, no one else to talk to.....hmmmm...Perfect. But...uh...what the hell am I supposed to do for four days alone?! I can't sleep THAT much!

Oh! And then I look around. I breath in. Ahhhh....I'm in the forest.

"Off! To the trees with you!" my mind screams! And Off I go! Yay! Several times a day, bounding through the trails - running, walking - bounding! Skipping through the trees with the dogs! This is where animals should be! Here! The dogs and cats are so happy here!! The forest is their playground!

When I'm not walking on the trails, I'm still in the trees! Breathing in fresh air! Cooking myself yummy meals...this kitchen is magical! Yes! There is a kitchen that I can cook in!! And then I can sit outside and eat looking around me at all of the green beauty in the lovely warming sun.

I am so grateful to have this amazing opportunity out here! Quality Patti time that has been desperately needed! Thank you, thank you!

Ooooh....is that a trampoline?! And a hula hoop?! They have it all here! Wheeeeeeeeeeeeee.......

The home here is beautiful and the women who own it are two of the most beautiful, strong women I have ever met. I love it here! The art is amazing!! The garden is yummy...a small apple orchard with apples dripping off the branches to the ground, a sauna, a sweat lodge, a hot tub, a tree house, a bath tub outside, and humming birds EVERYWHERE!!

I have read an entire book in one day, I've drawn, I've ran in the yard with the dogs, I've sat with the trees, I've hung out in their huge, amazing "green" house, and I've just sat. Sitting. Hmmm..I forgot I could do that. I don't always have to go go go.

Whew! Wow! I am so grateful!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
And then, when Sherry and Sheba came home, Sherry made a huge lovely breakfast with fresh vegetables from the yard and told me about the room they may be renting soon in their home and how much she would love for me to stay there.....hmmmmm?? Wow!
So blessed....I am so blessed!!! :) Yay!
Different to be home. It felt like I was away for a long time.
Thank you, thank you for all of this! For these beautiful ladies and all of the amazing opportunities flying in my direction...I am blown away! I must be doing ok......
Yay! :)
Hurray for a lovely experience.</div>
And more comes.....
    </a>
										<div>Letting go!! :) It is the best feeling! Again, I let go of yet another unhealthy relationship. And, again, what comes? More amazing, beautiful people and experiences.
It's all getting closer!! Every time in my life that a new experience has started, right beforehand, I experience things in my life extremely similar to the new experience about to come...usually unaware that it is sooo close!
But now, I've recognized that pattern. I've let go of more and instantly...I am here in a lovely house by myself with three adorable kitties, and a HUGE, BEAUTIFUL, GREEN backyard that is sunny and warm and full of amazing plants and flowers!
And I find myself driving through a small town with healthy stores and colorful people surrounded by huge blooming trees to a job that I LOVE!
And more opportunities coming....people offering me things and handing me ideas and links to opportunities that I had not even thought of. All at once...all by allowing new space in myself and around myself for more to come.
And I find an awesome hiking buddy that is conscious and fun and playful and simply kick-ass! Who knows all the great trails around here and loves to go out every week and explore all day. What more could I ask for?!
Just when I feel as if I've been pulled down and can't seem to find my light at the end of  the long challenging tunnel, I am embraced with the reminders that things are happening and moving and flowing, ALWAYS, and that I am so close to the next step. AND beyond that, I am already IN the next step...I am stepping already!! :) Right! I forget so easily sometimes.
Thank you for the reminders! Yay! I am so relaxed and happy and loved and loving! </div>
    </a>
										<div>I am feelings soooo truly blessed lately. I cannot begin to express how much I have around me. I feel as if I'm finally learning to receive. And not only the action of receiving, but seeing all that I already have received. Opening myself up to receive from those around me and accept the gifts from the Universe has been mind blowing.
I am seeing all of the amazing experiences in store for me and that are currently all around me. As well as the people. Getting close to new people who have no judgement and only love pouring out of them is beautiful and inspiring.
My expriences recently have been a wonderful reminder of what letting go brings in. Releasing exeriences and relationships that are perhaps not the healthiest of relationships allows room for new, healthier relationships. It's a refreshing reminder. I am so grateful for new friends and relationships and experiences.
Today and this week I have been incredibly present. Not sitting and wondering what will come...why am I here....how long will I have to stay here. But THANK YOU for placing me here. I see all of the reasons I am here. THANK YOU for change. I see all of the new beauty heading my direction. THANK YOU for the new relationships. I see all that I am learning from these new beautiful, inspiring people.
I want to share! I am grateful. I am blessed. I am loving my blessed existence! </div>
