Dan is the social equivalent of those mexican plum candies. The first taste is all salty and sharp but then you chew it for a bit and the sweetness comes through. I remember the first time I saw Dan truly laugh with pure joy. I had been dating him for three years. It was because a female coworker fell off a loading dock. To Dan's credit it was Christmas.
