Dunyah is inspiring in so many ways, as dancer, musician and one very-on-top-of-her-game womyn. I am thrilled to be a part of her creative adventure!

Dunyah is a beautiful prescence in this dance community - I'm so thankful to work with her and Americanistan on a regular basis!! She is passionate about her music and dance, and is a very talented woman. I want to thank her for being the open, kind and joyful being that she is, and I know this connection will continue!!!

Dunyah and Americanistan will always hold a special place in my heart. As a friend, Dunyah is warm and funny, as a dancer, she is soulful and earthy, and as a musician, she kicks ass! I have learned so much about dance and music from her and her bandmates, and I feel so grateful :)

I have had the joy to dance my first LIVE BAND solo with Dunyah and Americanistan playing.. a time ALL dancers remember. Dunyah is a joy to be around. Soft and caring.

The Yukon is an amazing place! I was so impressed with everything I saw there, from the belly dancing to the scenery. I'm not sure what I expected - maybe something like a small town in Wyoming or South Dakota, where I grew up. The wintry weather was certainly familiar - cold, sunny, dry and snowy. There was lots of beautiful, fresh produce and other grocery items in the store (always a big concern for m...

Oh man, I have a sudden opportunity to travel to Mexico TOMORROW with my daughter to visit my beloved brother at his home. I would so LOVE to do it. Problem is, I just got back from the Yukon and I have postponed moving twice already. My poor husband and son would be stuck with doing the moving without me. I don't want to guilt trip myself (screw guilt!) but at the same time I have a big responsibility here.

I had such a good time at Mezdulene's Tribal Oasis. I got to ride with two of my favorite dancers in the world, Salome and Razia. The atmosphere was great, like a party. I love so many of the Southern Oregon dancers who were there. Mez, of course, Susan, Sakari, Devi, Jasel, it's always so great to see friends at these events. If I am leaving anyone out, please forgive me.

Hehe, I went up to Kent, WA for Saqra's Belly Dance Review. I sat in with the band (not new) and I danced to Wayne's hurdy gurdy (not new). The new thing was that I sang a song. Out loud. In front of about a hundred people. They didn't throw anything and they clapped. And I felt very daring, so I guess it was a good thing. At least now I've done it.
